You Call That A Solution?
The immigration bill was defeated, but, I'm still trying to wrap my mind around how giving illegal immigrants "A path to citizenshitp" aka, amnesty, and reducing illegal immigration a whopping 13% is a "solution" to the problem.
Let me see how much sarcasm I can put into this next statement...
13%? 13% WOW! That's a reduction of 1.5 million illegal immigrants in the next 10-15 years.
And now the exit question for the legislators who voted for the amnesty bill,
OK, after this bill is passed, what are you going to do with the NEXT 10.5 million illegal immigrants in 10 or 15 years from now? Are you going to let them just avoid the ICE for the next decade until you do this again?
Many of my readers know I follow Dave Ramsey's financial advice like he's Moses leading me to the promised land (Which in a way if you follow his advice you will. It's called becoming RICH!) And he HATES companies like Ditech who give "Debt Consolodation Loans" In a way, this bill follows that line of thought. The immigration bill is the loan, and the immigrants are the credit card debt. A consolidation doesn't fix the problem, it's more like cough medicine. It only treats the symptoms, but won't cure the disease.
This isn't a solution you can just throw money at, and expect it to go away. You have to get rid of the incentive to immigrate illegally, by severely punishing companies who knowingly hire illegal immigrants.
Employers, check the Social security numbers of the people who are hired to see if they are legit. If the Social doesn't fit, then they have to quit.
