The Governator Picks On the Girlie Man

Governor Schwarzenegger spoke tonight at the RNC, speaking about how he has truly lived the American dream. He was a poor immigrant that came to the U.S. and now he has risen his way to the seat of governor of the state of California.

It was great to see him speak there and it was also good, of course to hear him call ultra-liberal Democrats like Kerry "Girlie Men" again.

Classes starting

Classes started today and I will say the schools here in TN are definitely much more conservative than the schools some place else and it shows with even the faculty. Just to give an example, there was a Bush/Cheney booth at the school fair yesterday, but nothing for Kerry. If there was I think I'd be like my brother and just have to confront them. I dunno what I'd say but it wouldn't be nice towards Kerry. And of course at that point I'd be shooshed away, but eh. It'd be fun to stump them when they don't suspect it.

But anyways I went to my American Lit class and the teacher there reminds me of Gene Hackman crossing w/ Lewis Black. It's the funniest thing I've seen. Apparently he's a New York Conservative, which is really hard to find round there. He's very against the whole idea of mega liberals like the ACLU who want everyone to be able to express free speech, but it can't be considered offensive to anyone. No religion, nothing like that. He's for religion in politics, but things like 10 Commandments in the Supreme Court things, not something like "The Roman Catholic Church is the official religion of the USA."

Just goes to show how much different the south is from the northeast.

A Worthy Read

We received a small book in the mail the other day that I read through pretty quick. It's about a 30 page book called "Who Is John Kerry." It's distributed by the American Conservative Union and it sells for something like 3 or 4 dollars. It has may facts about him, things like how he wanted a 50 cent gas tax, his absence at senate votes, and how he is in fact the most liberal person in the Senate. That's just a nibblit of things it goes on to tell. It's worth reading, and if you can find a publishing of it for free, there should be no reason to not pick it up.

Who is John Kerry?

Political Cartoon Idea

I was reading the paper here today (a more liberal paper than some but nowhere near as bad as the NY Times) and I was looking at the political cartoons thinking to myself that I might draw my own political cartoon at one point. Here's the idea...

Kerry in a High School Gym playing dodge-ball w/ balls coming at him with things on them like Senate Record, War Crimes, Purple Hearts, Cambodia, Tax Votes, 527 Ads (he's still yet to denounce them himself, maybe because Moveon.org has just come out w/ new Anti-Bush ads...) and things like that. While he's dodging all of that I'll have Kerry proclaiming about his Vietnam experience.

Also every time Kerry tries to hit at Bush with a statement about not denouncing the 527 Ads, I want the news to run this right after it. "I'm denouncing all the stuff being on TV of the 527's. That's what I've said."..."That means that ad, every other ad, I can't be more plain about it. And I wish - I hope my opponent joins me in saying - condemning these activities of the 527's. It's, I think they're bad for the system. That's why I signed the bill, McCain-Feingold." George Bush Aug. 23rd Fox News

Later that night John Edwards said this to a large crowd, "The moment of truth came and went, and the President still couldn't bring himself to do the right thing."

Spying on TN Democrats...

I live here in Tennessee, a (fortunately) more conservative state than NY, and I was talking to one of my best friend's mom tonight and I couldn't help but bring up the subject of politics. I thought she was a Bush supporter so I started talking to her poking fun at Kerry, and she informed me at the fact that she was going to vote for Kerry in November. She like many of the people here that will vote for Kerry are voting with their wallets. The stock market fall out left their retirement funds a bit lacking. I almost asked her if she took into affect Kerry's voting record on taxes.

Wall street is fearful of a Kerry victory and that it would cause a fallout in the market. American Shareholders Association

That Kerry said one of the first things he will do is reverse Bush's tax cuts that stimulated the growth in the economy and saved US taxpayers on average almost $2,000 this past year. Fox News

She also mentioned to me how she was against the illegal immigrants taking jobs from legal citizens as well as jobs being moved to Mexico.

"Kerry then went on to promise that the 8 million to 12 million illegal aliens in the U.S. would be given a 'path to citizenship' in his first 100 days in office." Fox News

She ended up asking me to change the subject since politics is something that has been known to make for nasty fights. It ended neutral I believe, but I'd have liked to shown her to vote on the records of Bush and Kerry rather than just her pocketbook. I should have just given her this link. 40 Reasons
