One Last Hit
As you all may know, the Tennessee Vols came into this season pre-ranked #3 in the nation. They quickly dropped that and ended up 5-6, and even lost to VANDERBILT, a team that they hadn't lost to in 22 years. Well, the Tennessean decided to take one last look at the team that never really was. Here's a few snippets from the article...
Most memorable play
Gerald Riggs Jr.'s bulling his way into the end zone on third-and-goal from the 1 to win it in overtime against LSU.
Most forgettable play
Cory Anderson's fumble at the 3 against Alabama that went squirting through the end zone for a touchback.
Most forgettable play II
Arian Foster's fumble against South Carolina, just as he was about to cross the goal line for a touchdown.
Worst tackle
Everybody who whiffed on Georgia's Thomas Flowers on his way to a 54-yard punt return for a touchdown to break the game open.
Most important offensive play
Are you kidding?
Worst comment
All but three of the Vols' players following the Vanderbilt loss. Everybody else ducked out and refused to face the media.
Cover your eyes
It's probably what every Tennessee fan wanted to do following Erik Ainge's hook shot out of the end zone against LSU.
Cover your eyes II
It's definitely what every Tennessee fan wanted to do at the end of the Vanderbilt game. Commodores 28, Vols 24.
Red hot
Phillip Fulmer's seat if the Vols head into November next season with four or five losses.
The Vols sucked this year. It was so bad, that when I went up to UT to visit my best friend, and watch the UT Vandy game, I was so down trodden that I actually had to LEAVE KNOXVILLE the night of the game, because I was so upset. I just couldn't stand to be there.
One good note, at least we didn't lose to Kentucky.
