No War On Christianity MY ASS
"There's no war on Christianity." "It's just a myth." Ok, you might have been able to B.S. that before, but now, you're just full of crap.
Let's see, cases against Christians:
- ACLU removing a small cross from the LA County symbol (The CITY OF ANGELS, done by the 9th Circuit Court)
- ACLU opposing the 10 Commandments in multiple cases
- Taking the phrase "under God" out of the pledge of Allegiance (Also, 9th Circuit Court)
- Preventing the passing out of the UNITED STATES DECLARATION OF INDEPENDANCE because the word God was in the text
- Changing the motto on our currency from "In God We Trust" to something else.
- Removing a Nativity Scene from a school display, but leaving a Menorah, and other Non-Christian Religious symbols there
- Threatening to fire employees who say Merry Christmas, and removing the term Easter from stores all over the nation.
I would take this to the Supreme Court, ASAP. And if this doesn't get turned over IMMEDIATELY, I'm going to pitch a fit to have those judges removed. This is a DIRECT opposition to previous precedents, which courts use to make decisions. If Students are not allowed to say "Under God" because it sponsors a religion in a state funded building, then how the HELL does this not?
*UPDATE* Via Stop The ACLU:
"The 9th Circuit upheld her decision in a five-sentence ruling, saying only that the activities weren’t “overt religious exercises” that would raise concerns under the First Amendment prohibition of “establishment of religion.”"
Ahem..."Praise be to Allah," and "In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful," and "Allah is the only true God and Muhammad is his messenger."
That is not an overt religious excercise, but saying "One nation under God" is?
