Murtha Being Sued

Staff Sgt. Frank Wuterich is suing John Murtha for libel due to the accusations of murdering civilians in Haditha, which Wuterich says are false, adn that Murtha knew the statements were baseless. Murtha's statements he claims made the military look for "scapegoats" and that they would press charges, even if the claims were completely false, just to save face.
The lawsuit states, "Mr. Murtha has intentionally disseminated with malice his hearsay version of the events of November 19, 2005 with knowledge of the false and libelous nature of the statements contained therein and/or with gross negligence or reckless disregard for the truth."
Murtha's camp refused to comment on the issue, and the lawsuit is for $75,000, and a public appology from Murtha.
