HWC Baseball Finale!

***Week NOT 25 is over!! The "week" ends October 1st! Please disregard the rankings, and consider this a preliminary outlook!!!!***

that means that the Hot Wing Conspiracy Baseball league is done! There were 4 games this week to determine 1st, 3rd, 7th, and 9th place. Let's take a look at how they went down in reverse order.

The stats your team builds up are broken down into 12 groups. For batters, there are runs, homeruns, RBI‚’s, strike-outs, stolen bases, and battering average. For pitching, there are wins, saves, strike-outs, holds , ERA, and WHIP. When the week is done and the stats are totalled up, each one of those categories is a win, a loss, or a tie for the teams playing. So in a given week, you can have any combination of wins, losses, and ties that add up to 12.

For 9th Place:
webcats - 5
The Glat-inators - 6 (Tie in Saves)
The cats stole almost all of the batting stats, but the Glats taking that one offensive stat turned the tides as they take this one by a close call. Glats take 9th place, webcats get sent home in 10th.

For 7th Place:
RFTR - 8
Akhtar The Divorcee - 3 (Tie in holds)
This game disappointed me quite a bit. Pigg was slated to take 7th in my books after a strong finish, but then again, I had the Cardinals taking the whole cup, but like the real Red Birds, come October, all is lost. RFTR Pounded this game like a butcher to some tough meat. RFTR comes home 7th after entering the playoffs seeded #11, and Akhtar still finishes in the top half of the field in 8th.

For 3rd Place:
bRight & Early - 5
Columbia Cardinals - 5 (Ties in Offensive K's and Wins)
We'll have to see who takes this one, but Hey bRight, doesn't it suck to wake up Monday to see that you "Sunday's Sure Thing" is now on rocky ground? Don't be surprised if this one swings in the Cardinal's favor, even thoguh I don't feel they deserve it. bRight had him skunked almost the entire week. Somehow Sunday Cardinal's had a crazy good night and tied it up.

For the Championship:
Wookies Will Win - 5
fmragtops spewers - 6 (Tie in Saves)
Poor John. Dominated the entire season, then gets to the final week, and falls apart. I've got to hand it to FM. Sometimes it's better to be lucky than good. Wookies made a strong comeback going into Sunday, but with no starters, and his relievers all losing, John couldn't drop the ERA, the Whip, or bring up the saves enough to seal this one.

Final Standings:
1st - fmragtops spewers
2nd - Wookies Will Win
3rd - Columbia Cardinals or bRight & Early
4th -
5th - Robots Eat Babies
6th - Baghdad Bombers
7th - RFTR
8th - Akhtar The Divorcee
9th - The Glat-inators
10th - webcats
11th - The PAWs
12th - Poca Dots Blog
13th - Gashouse Gorillas
14th - The right wing nuts
15th - CZC Owns
16th - Repubs lost in SD
