THEREFORE Sept 10TH HAS BEEN FORMALLY DECLARED "STICK IT TO THEM DAY" AND THE PEOPLE OF THIS NATION SHOULD NOT BUY A
SINGLE DROP OF GASOLINE THAT DAY.

THE ONLY WAY THIS CAN BE DONE IS IF YOU FORWARD THIS E-MAIL TO AS MANY PEOPLE AS YOU CAN AND AS QUICKLY AS YOU CAN TO GET THE WORD OUT WAITING ON THIS ADMINISTRATION TO STEP IN AND CONTROL THE PRICES IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN.

Snopes has confirmed this is the same email hoax that's been going around since 1999.

So I replied to my friend, they should also watch their drinks at bars. People have been slipping drugs into glasses and then stealing kidneys.

This I know is true:
Bill Gates will give you a dollar and a free dinner at Applebee's if you forward this post to everyone you know, especially Glenn Reynolds."

So where's my free dollar and dinner at Applebee's? Seriously, if you don't buy gas on a specific day then that's not going to do anything for the prices. I mean if you don't buy gas Saturday, then when are you going to? Friday or Sunday, right? It's funny to see some of the ideas that people come up with.

And apparently Bill O'reilly believed this mission, except his was a mission to not buy gas on Sundays. But again, if no gas is purchased on Sunday's...then when are we going to buy gas? My idea to fix gouging is like what they do with local cable and utility companies. Make them into government regulated monopolies. And if they charge too much (like in Atlanta where it got to $6/gallon) slap a big fine on them. In downtown Atlanta, if a gas station sold any gas over $4/gallon, they had to pay a $5,000 fine. They even did so much as to temporarily abolish the gasoline tax either in the city, or throughout the whole state.
