Season Premier of Nip/Tuck Season 3 - After Christian is maimed by "The Carver" Sean goes out looking for new patients. He comes across a woman who has not moved from her couch in years. She has been there so long that her skin has grown into the sofa material and has to be surgically removed.

Life:
A 480 pound woman died while being surgically removed from her couch after sitting in it for 6 years solid. - WFTV News

In Cincinnati, a 61 year old woman was "forgotten" when she said that she didn't want to be buried. She died and was not discovered until 2 1/2 years later, mummified, and still sitting in the couch in the 2nd story of the house. - Yahoo!
