More Peace Loving Muslims

Remember that story a while ago (all of 3 days) about some kid in Chapel Hill, NC that ran over some people and drove off? Yeah, I almost didn't either. Until I was listening to Fox News while I was getting ready, and heard that not only was the guy Muslim, but that he DROVE OVER AT LEAST 9 PEOPLE ON PURPOSE! Why?

Police said Mohammad Taheri-azar, a 2005 UNC-Chapel Hill graduate, admits he acted to "avenge the death of Muslims around the world." - WRAL

But the school has decided not to label this as an act of terrorism. And students are PISSED. This kid drove his SUV into a crowd of innocent people with the intent to kill them. If that doesn't spell terrorism, then I don't know what does.

Sources say Taheriazar told police he was seeking retribution for the treatment of Muslims around the world, according to ABC News justice correspondent Pierre Thomas. Taheriazar apparently told police he tried to rent the biggest SUV he could find to use in the attack.

And it wouldn't be a great story without some form of media downplay. A Raleigh resident that the headline stating that the students were "pedestrians" was misleading. The incident happened at a place students call, "The Pit." It is located, as you can see in this photo, (from part of a campus map, provided by UNC-CH) in a grove of buildings with the only close road being South Road.

Fortunately this guy is being charged with 9 counts of attempted first degree murder, and a $5.5 million bond.

He's going away for a long time, and I can guarantee that there will be no virgins for him. Only a fiery spot in Hell.
