Talk About A Bad Advertisment Campaign

Boston was brought to its knees by people calling about suspicious packages that were placed all around the city at the same time.

The culprit has been found. Turner Broadcasting, more specifically Cartoon Network. The boards were of a character on Aqua Teen Hunger Force flipping the bird. The price of the advertisment campaign? Whatever it cost Turner, plus at least an additional $750,000.
Mayor Menino said the hoax cost the state and cities about $750,000. He wants Turner Broadcasting to pay for it all.

“It is outrageous, in a post 9/11 world, that a company would use this type of marketing scheme. I am prepared to take any and all legal action against Turner Broadcasting and its affiliates for any and all expenses incurred during the response to today’s incidents. Boston will look to coordinate our efforts going forward with Cambridge, Somerville and any other affected agencies.”

Smooth. Really smooth.

"Willing Tool, Or An Ignorant Fool?"

That's the subject of Michelle Malkin's latest episode of Vent, that may just show exactly how willing journalists are to use insurgent and terrorist sources to help them win the media battle.

Take a look for yourself. Bryan at HA has a follow-up article.
CBS News reporter Lara Logan, currently the network’s correspondent in Baghdad, used clips in a story about fighting on Haifa Street in Baghdad that apparently came from a video that Al Qaeda’s media arm also used. In her story she didn’t attribute the video to Al Qaeda, but described it as “gruesome pictures obtained by CBS.” They’re gruesome indeed, depicting slain Iraqi Army soldiers after the battle, and showing people walking around the room where the dead men are laying and even apparently picking through their uniforms. In looking at both the Logan report and the video that Al Qaeda released after the January 7 battle, I’ve come to the conclusion that not only did Logan use the same video that Al Qaeda used, but that she worked from the same source tape as well. That means that in all likelihood her source and the source from which Al Qaeda obtained the video (which may be someone actually in AQ or merely connected to it) are one and the same. Background on all this here and here and here. You can download the Al Qaeda video here, but be forewarned–it takes forever even on a cable hookup. And it’s very graphic. Logan’s CBS report is here. She has made a big deal out of CBS only putting it on the web and not broadcasting it on CBS News. It’s her “call for help” to her friends in the media to pressure CBS into broadcasting the story that made this whole thing gain some traction, though it’s going in a direction now that she probably didn’t anticipate.

The State Of The Students

It's no wonder that a gross portion of the American youth can name most of the American Idol winners, but can't name the last 6 united states presidents. I'm the complete opposite. I know Kelly Clarkson won American Idol one year, but could care less about the others. On teh other hand I can recall the presidents in order backwards from G.W. to Eisenhower.

Need more proof at how poorly the youth is being educated about our Government? Just look to connecting*the*dots:
While the soldier’s wife vented, a huge group of punk rock kids walked over the grassy knoll to the right of the steps, chanting different things at different times — though I have to say the funniest was, “To the Capitol! To the Capitol! (followed by the guy in the lead with “Dude, where’s the Capitol?)

We were standing right in front of it.
That's just sad. And it begs the question, "If they don't even know you're standing in front of the most important legislative building in the country, how much do they really know/care about the situation in Iraq?"

Leftists ≠ Free Speech Pt. 8

**UPDATE** Some bloggers noted that some of the graffiti appeared to be made with a rubber piece being scraped on the ground. However, an FRC.org reporter was at the site, and in a 1 minute video shows that some of the graffiti was in fact spray paint, and has not been fully cleaned. Also, who is in charge of the orders for the USCP? Nanci Pelosi. She has now been placed in the hot seat as some legislators have asked her to investigate why no one was arrested.**

I'm getting sick and tired of hearing these liberal whiners who decide that their word is supreme, and take to vandalism, violence and rioting in an attempt to prove their point. Now they've taken it too far.

Liberal Anti-War Activist spray painted graffiti on the Capitol Building.

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.

Anti-war protesters were allowed to spray paint on part of thewest front steps of the United States Capitol building after police wereordered to break their security line by their leadership, two sources told The Hill.
...Approximately 300 protesters were allowed to take the steps and began to spray paint "anarchist symbols" and phrase such as "Ourcapitol building" and "you can’t stop us" around the area, thesource said.

If someone eggs your house, they get arrested for vandalism. Why is this any different? Regardless of how you spin it, this action is considered destruction of property. On top of that, it's GOVERNMENT property. They should have been arrested and fined.

I DEMAND that liberal leaders condem these actions, and order their minions to cease and desist. This has gone too far, and to see the people who represent them sit and do nothing is DISGUSTING.

Arainna Huffington? Hillary Clinton? Jane Fonda? Helen Thomas? John Kerry? Ted Kennedy? Alan Colmes? Markos Zúniga? Think Progress?

I'M WAITING!!

Chuck Norris Facts...

Chuck Norris can run around the Earth so fast that he can actually punch himself in the back of the head.

Chuck Norris once bet NASA he could survive re-entry without a spacesuit. On July 19th, 1999, a naked Chuck Norris re-entered the earth's atmosphere, streaking over 14 states and reaching a temperature of 3000 degrees. An embarrassed NASA publically claimed it was a meteor, and still owes him a beer.

Chuck Norris can hit you so hard that he can actually alter your DNA. Decades from now your descendants will occasionally clutch their heads and yell "What The Hell was That?"

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is based on a true story: Chuck Norris once swallowed a turtle whole, and when he crapped it out, the turtle was six feet tall and had learned karate.

Chuck Norris is not hung like a horse... horses are hung like Chuck Norris.

Chuck Norris does not teabag the ladies. He potato-sacks them.

When Chuck Norris was denied an Egg McMuffin at McDonald's because it was 10:35, he roundhouse kicked the store so hard it became a Wendy's.

Chuck Norris can divide by zero.

When an episode of Walker Texas Ranger was aired in France, the French surrendered to Chuck Norris just to be on the safe side.

And he can host Hannity and Colmes

The Most Unnecessary Bill

Phil Berger, a Republican from the NC state Senate has put forward a bill that would require the NC government to review a script before it begins filming in the state. Reason for the bill being launched; The rape scene in Hounddog.

I am against this type of legislation. This type of legislation is nothing more than government stepping in in attempt to tell the people what is good for them. I don't feel that the government should tell a director or producer that people shouldn't see the movie. I think that the people who see the movie should be the ones to make that decision. On top of that the bill could be used for selective censorship, something liberals wanting to indoctrinate the population would have a ball with.

If ypu've ever seen the movie Equilibrium, you can see what ccensorship of this type can turn into.

Hounddog is bound to fail. Most who saw the movie has so far said it was disappointing. Video and DVD companies won't touch it and this movie is bound to be a collectable before it gets the chance to be released to the public. After that fact, of course the Hollywood elite will blame evangelicals ad right wingers for the failure of the movie, not the fact that the movie may have actually sucked.

I know this is a bit sadistic, but I would rather see a bad movie be made and fail miserably, rather than be stopped at the state capitol.

OH...MY...GOD!!!!

What the hell kind of a news agency hires this man? After watching Hot Air's video of Jon Snow sympathizing with Iraqi insurgents and death squads, I had to find the video that they described in this post where Snow dismisses a YEAR worth of rocket attacks from Palestine AFTER Isreal removed their troops from the Gaza Strip.. I could not believe my ears!!!! Watch it for yourself and try not to just scream out "OH MY GOD!!"

Some lines from the video:
Snow: This is collective punishment; You've cut off the water. You've cut off the petrol. You've cut off the water, and you're starving the hospitals out.
Ravner: This is not, ah, collective punishment. And this is not just about the soldier. It's the culmination of about one year long since we've withdrawn full to the 67 line from Gaza, and since then what we've gotten was a day in and day out, even today when we are talking, uh, rockets being fired into Israel. And then came the ah, killing of the, ah, murdering of the youngster in the West Bank earlier this week. And now the Hamas government has to decide what are they exactly. Are they a terrorist organization as we susspect, or are they a government. If they are a government, there is a very simple and clear-cut resolution to the conflict strait away. Let them release our soldier. Let them stop the firing of rockets, and there will be no problem.
Snow: Well, ah, rockets are pretty pathetic things really, nobody gets injured, they are homemade, and you well know they have nothing much stronger than an AK-47. No RPG's, and you're delivering some of the most sophisticated bombardment that ever been subjected to a defenseless people.

Targets hit by the Qassam Rockets; A nursery school, A soccer field, A school yard, HaVegev College, a kindergarten class. Sometimes there were more than 30 rockets fired IN ONE DAY. ALL targets were civilian areas.

The number of casualties from the "harmless" rockets, ALL CIVILIANS:
14 Dead
51 Wounded (With injuries as bad as one man losing BOTH legs)
8 People put into shock (including 4 children)

The number of people killed in the attack of defenseless people; 1. A member of a terrorist faction who was killed in his own home.

The Words Of The Enemy

There is nothing in the world like the fighting between Sunni and Shiite Muslims in Iraq. People are being kidnapped, tortured, maimed, killed and beheaded, all because of miniscule religious differences within the same religion. This hatred runs so deep, that to step in and try to stop the violence is almost signing a death wish. So what do you do? Do you put your own life at risk to try and stop the violence when you see it happen, or do you wait until after the fight is over to go and help clean up. The situation is similar to what instructors tell future life guards. "If you are trying to rescue some one underwater who is thrashing around and putting your life in danger, LEAVE THEM. There is no sense in losing 2 lives."

Take this example:
A British news agency went ape nuts when Iraqi police of one sect arrested 3 men who were of the opposing sect. The men were arrested because they were carrying mortar shells in an area which had recently been fired upon, more than likely injuring civilians. The Iraqi police then assaulted the arrested men "Rodney King style." The British news agency repeatedly stated that the American troops stood by and did nothing, even though it is very distinctly heard that one American troop radios to the squad "I'm trying to get them to stop beating the man but they just won't quit." Granted one troop replies that he is being too sensitive, but when two groups of Muslims are fighting over religious issues, are you going to put your life in jeopardy to stop the fight? No. There's no sense in risking 2 lives in the fight.

But what bothers me the most is the news anchor's lack of an effort to put any accountability to the Muslims creating the violence. The video then describes a Sunni man who married a Shiite woman, and he has now been given death threats by violent militia squads. In true "Religion of Peace" fashion, the death threat states this:
"Final Warning! Leave or we will cut your tongues out, behead you, and eradicate your whole family."
They then signed the letter, "In the name of Allah the compassionate and the merciful.

And yet, to the media, Americans are the evil ones in this war.

Final Question for CAIR, and other Militant sympathizers:

Does it not bother you that Muslims are threatening OTHER MUSLIMS with torture, violence, and death in the name of "Allah the compassionate, and the merciful?"

The Best And Worst Republican Contenders

Right Wing News is hosting a blog poll of who the blogosphere would like to run for the Presidential nod in 2008. Well, I'm going to do my top 5 as well. First, the ones that I would most like to see:

5) Rudy Giuliani - I don't want to rank Rudy higher because the main reason he is known is for the events of and following 9/11. Other than that he is not really a nationally known man. The good that he has done to NYC has been relatively unpublished.
4) Condoleza Rice - She is a guru at foreign affairs, and although she doesn't strike me as the most attractive woman, she can do the job, and that's what matters.
3) Marsha Blackburn - I love this woman. As my representative in congress here in TN and on Capitol Hill, she fights hard to prevent over-taxation of the people, and supports Government fiscal responsibility. she would make a DAMN good lady president.
2) Mitt Romney - I agree with Phil Valentine that he is the likely man to beat. I mean if he can win the gubernatorial race in a state that constantly elects the likes of John Kerry and Ted Kennedy, he's bound to reach across the table and grab some blue votes away from whoever runs on the other side of the ballot.
1) - Newt Gingrich - This man started the Republican Revolution that ended 40 years of Democrat domination. He gets my vote for top nod.

And now here's the ones I don't want to run:

5) John McCain - Falling asleep at the SOTU speech was not a good political move. Like when the Hill-dabeast was caught rolling her eyes, that will come back to bite him in the ass.
4) Tom Tancredo - Open Borders, nuff said. $340 Million in taxes spent in LA County alone to treat uninsured illegal immigrants. It HAS to stop. ***I just realized I completely misread the article about his immigration ideology. H/T: Abby***
3) Mike Huckabee - A vote for F on his spending and an overall D in fiscal responsibility is a no no for a fiscal conservative me.
2) Chuck Hagel - Opposition to the war would attract some lefties, but lose more righties. Not a good choice.
1) Jeb Bush - No offense to the family, but 2 Bush Presidents are enough for now. Liberals would paint a very nasty picture of Jeb, and he would go down in flames. Jeb may be able to run in later elections, but not in 2008.

Never Heard That One

"Hell's Box Office?" I've heard Cinemax being called Skin-a-max, but I've never heard of the term Hell's Box Office, and neither have my two roomates. As a matter of fact, neither have any of my friends here in evangelical Cookeville.

I've lived in TN my whole life. Literally. When I was born myself, The Man, and our family lived in Antioch. After a year or so we moved to Franklin, and my parents have lived there ever since about 1986, but none of us have ever heard that term.

I can see why it would be called that, but as for actual usage, I've never once heard it.

GOPAC Names Michael Steele As Chairman

...I did?

*for those of you who didn't get the joke...GOP And College...GOPAC...*

I agree with Ian that I would have liked to have seen Steele as the next RNC, but being the chairman of a large P.A.C. instead isn't too bad.

Teddy Sleeping...?

Or was he trying to keep those last couple scotch and waters down? Looks like Teddy's gotta yak. And not the "I have a long-haired buffalo livin' in my back yard" kind. (kudos to Ron White for that line)

Hot Air's got the snoozers from last night's 50 minute SOTU speech. Included on the list:

Barack Obama
Teddy Kennedy
Joe Biden
John McCain
and others

Maybe having to work of nearly 3 days a week was too much for the senators.

Hey! And for once, the Hill-da-beast learned not to scoff and roll her eyes.

From Hoodlumman on HA:
"Pelosi’s first 100 hours didn’t allocate for any sleep, you rethugliKKKan sheep!
WHY DO YOU HATE PRODUCTIVITY FROM YOUR CONGRESS WHICH RESULTS IN NAPPY TIME DURING THE SOTU?!??"
Because I have to get up at 7 AM to be at class at 8 AM 5 days a week for one. Congress was in session for all of 3 days for the past 2 weeks. Hardly a work week if you ask me.

R.I.P. GOP and the City

8/17/2004-1/23/2007

The Man has officially thrown in the towel. It is a sad day for all...most...some...a few.

From the "You Might Be A Liberal If..." series, to the MTC Strike, to the possible uses for Castro's corpse,to as he mentioned, the Moveon.org fiasco that rocketed our blogs from the shadows to the limelight. It's been fun bro, and I'm sad to see you leave.

11-9

That's TTU's overall record, and they are 7-4 in the OVC. Murray State came to town against the Golden Eagles, but we were there to fight them off, live on ESPNU.

I got to the 6 PM game at about 5:10 to get a good spot. I looked and saw a bunch of my friends who were huddled discussing something. They then asked, "Hey, you want to help us with something?" I couldn't resist. "What?" I asked. They were getting their bodies painted for television. I had done it before when TTU played Eastern Kentucky in football. A game where the student section destroyed the EKU morale. We had over 30 students participate in the painting. I loved it!

This game was no different. From the start, the student section hammered the Murray State players. It didn't help that after getting 2 shots in the net in the first three minutes, #3 Ray George air-balled one of his first shots. From then on, whenever the ball touched his hands, a thunderous "AIR-BALL! AIR-BALL! AIR-BALL!" echoed through the Eblen Center. Rogers ended up 3-10 for the whole game with only one basket in the remaining 37 (of 40) minutes of the game.

In the end, the score was 63-52 Golden Eagles. Tech is now 3-0 for the Fall 2006/Spring 2007 when on the ESPNU. Tech is 8-1 at home for the basketball season and is currently on a 5 game winning streak.

"If Tennessee Tech plays the way they did tonight: Their up and down style, their full court pressure defense, and they've got a host of athletes. They're going to be tough to stop once this tournament gets to Nashville.
...Watch out for Mike Sutton and Tennessee Tech." - ESPN U Commentators Dave Weekley and Mark Adams

Al-Jazirah cooperating with the United States?

On 22 January, a jihadist website posted links to an Al-Sahab video showing a speech by Ayman al-Zawahiri in which he responded to the recent announcement by President Bush that the US will send 20,000 additional troops to Iraq, daring the President to send his "entire army." Although the video - which is of poor quality and suffers from audio synching problems - is marked as an Al-Sahab production, its release was not official; forum participants posted links to the video as found on jihadist monitor Laura Mansfield's blog at www.lauramansfield.com.

In a later post, a jihadist forum participant explained that links to the video were originally leaked to Al-Jazirah, but that Al-Jazirah offered them to US intelligence and that Laura Mansfield has a "link" with the CIA.

Is the once pro-terrorist propaganda television station beginning to become a turncoat?

Just One Thought On Webb's Rebuttal

Wages and salaries for our workers are at all-time lows as a percentage of national wealth, even though the productivity of American workers is the highest in the world. Medical costs have skyrocketed. College tuition rates are off the charts. Our manufacturing base is being dismantled and sent overseas. Good American jobs are being sent along with them.

Reason: The cost to employ Americans is "too high," and foreign labor is much cheaper.

And under the leadership of the new Democratic Congress, we are on our way to doing so. The House just passed a minimum wage increase, the first in ten years, and the Senate will soon follow. We've introduced a broad legislative package designed to regain the trust of the American people. We’ve established a tone of cooperation and consensus that extends beyond party lines. We’re working to get the right things done, for the right people and for the right reasons.

Remind me again exactly how is a minimum wage increase going to help Americans in the long run? Does no one else see that outsourcing might skyrocket?

Ahmadinejad Said What?

During a meeting with the Syrian Foreign Minister, telecasted on Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB):
"Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad… assured that the United States and the Zionist regime of Israel will soon come to the end of their lives," the Iranian president was quoted as saying.

"Sparking discord among Muslims, especially between the Shiites and Sunnis, is a plot hatched by the Zionists and the US for dominating regional nations and looting their resources,"

And as a side note, I'm watching the State of the Union Speech, and they panned over to John McCain...Was he SLEEPING?

And after speaking,
For America, this is a nightmare scenario. For the enemy, this is the objective. Chaos is their greatest ally in this struggle. And out of chaos in Iraq, would emerge an emboldened enemy with new safe havens... new recruits ... new resources ... and an even greater determination to harm America. To allow this to happen would be to ignore the lessons of September 11th and invite tragedy. And ladies and gentlemen, nothing is more important at this moment in our history than for America to succeed in the Middle East ... to succeed in Iraq ... and to spare the American people from this danger.

One side of the house stood...and the other sat. Three guesses as to who stood and who didn't.

Hillary in '08

Hillary attempted to disband any thought in 2005 and early 2006 that she would run for president, despite the fact that the signs were obviously otherwise. She made overt attempts to "avoid any sign she was going to run," such as not stepping foot into New Hampshire on fundraising trips. In case you can't read the obvious, that translates into "I REALLY want to run for president." Like a 10 year old girl who acts mean to a boy that she secretly has a crush on, Hillary had full intentions to run for president in 2008. However, might we remind her what the press felt about her running?
I was having a fascinating conversation with a Middle East expert about the intricacies of Israel's disengagement from Gaza when I noticed the fellow growing impatient. "Enough of this," he said. "What about Hillary?" Welcome to my life. In airports, on checkout lines, at the doctor's office: "What about Hillary?" (Everywhere except in Washington, where everyone "knows" she's running.) I shrug, I try to avoid the question, I say it's too early—and it is. But you want to know too, right? So here it is. I like Senator Clinton. She has a wicked, ironic sense of humor (in private) and a great raucous belly laugh. She is smart and solid; she inspires tremendous loyalty among those who work for her. She is not quite as creative a policy thinker as her husband, but she easily masters difficult issues—her new found grasp of military matters has impressed colleagues of both parties on the Armed Services Committee—and she is not even vaguely the left-wing harridan portrayed by the Precambrian right. I also think that a Clinton presidential candidacy in 2008 would be a disaster on many levels.

It would doubtless be a circus, a revisitation of the carnival ugliness that infested public life in the 1990s. Already there are blogs, websites and fund-raising campaigns dedicated to denigrating her. According to the New York Observer last week, these sites aren't getting much traffic—yet. But they will. I remember several conversations with Senator Clinton after her health-care plan was killed 10 years ago, and she was clearly pained—nonplussed by the quality of anger, the sheer hatred, directed against her.

- Joe Klein
And of course, it comes as no big surprise that Hillary has officially thrown her hat into the pile of Democratic hopefuls going into the primaries.

"I'm not just starting a campaign, though, I'm beginning a conversation with you, with America," she said. "Let's talk. Let's chat. The conversation in Washington has been just a little one-sided lately, don't you think?" - Yahoo! News

I'm going to laugh when Will Franklin's 2005 article turns out to be exactly right about Clinton not having a prayer.

Here's my chat with you, Hill; "Quit now."

Scraping The Rocks As Global Warming Plummets

Have you ever seen a movie where someone has just fallen off of a cliff, and is desperately grabbing for anything to prevent them from falling? It seems to be that way for the Global Warming advocates. For instance, take Heidi Cullen, from Weather.com.

Meteorologists are among the few people trained in the sciences who are permitted regular access to our living rooms. And in that sense, they owe it to their audience to distinguish between solid, peer-reviewed science and junk political controversy. If a meteorologist can't speak to the fundamental science of climate change, then maybe the AMS shouldn't give them a Seal of Approval. Clearly, the AMS doesn't agree that global warming can be blamed on cyclical weather patterns. It's like allowing a meteorologist to go on-air and say that hurricanes rotate clockwise and tsunamis are caused by the weather. It's not a political statement...it's just an incorrect statement.

It seems like global warming advocates are scraping to drag anyone and everyone they can to their philosophy, by any means necessary Liberals in general are pulling this action as well. With liberal Dems wanting to treat minutemen as domestic terrorists (despite that when asked if the minutemen committed any human rights violations, the ACLU said, "No, we haven’t." The ACLU even committed crimes, some against the minutemen. Infractions range from smoking mary-jane, to trying to instigate a fight with the members of the minutemen.) Dems are also trying to silence the opposition by silencing conservative radio stations.

With liberalism losing traction, what else will the liberal elite attempt to do when any power is given to them?

"Discrimination" At U. Mich?

People are claiming that campus directors are still discriminating at the University of Michigan when the applications ask the aplicant their sex and race. Many people are upset because the proposal claims that race is to be absent from the deciding, despite affirmative action laws.

I don't see a problem with asking a student for their race. In fact, if I were an African American, I would be upset if they did not ask me. I graduated high school with a 3.5 GPA and a 28 on my ACT both times I took it. When I applied to Tennessee Tech, I was offered $0 in scholarship money from the school.

However, if I had been African American, I would be going to college almost for free.

Michigan citizens need to learn the difference between discrimination, and racial endowments. But if you want to be fair, you can give all of the non-black students who are going to UM the same scholarship money that the black students get.

Cindy Sheehan - Selective Human Rights Activist

Cindy will drop everything to get 15 minutes on TV protesting Guantanimo, claiming "Gross Human Rights Violations" in a prison where inmates are fed so much they are GAINING weight, are allowed to excercise outside, and get free medical attention anytime it is needed from the Red Cross.

However, Cindy will avoid any chance to do the RIGHT thing and Protest ACTUAL human rights violations on political prisoners to Fidel Castro in the SAME CITY.

HAVANA: Wives and mothers of Cuban political prisoners urged U.S. peace activist Cindy Sheehan on Monday to visit the island's state-run jails during her weeklong trip to Cuba to call for the closure of the U.S.-operated Guantanamo prison.

The Ladies in White, a group of women demanding the release of their loved ones, described what they called "inhumane" conditions at Cuba's prisons in a letter for Sheehan that was sent to international reporters. The group said it was trying to get a copy to Sheehan as well.

"At the same time you and your noble followers fight for the closure of the U.S. prison at the Guantanamo naval base ... just a few miles away at the provincial Guantanamo prison in Cuban territory, peaceful and defenseless political prisoners suffer inhumane conditions, (living) without potable water and with poor nutrition, deficient medical assistance, insects and rodents, limited visits and precarious communication," the letter said

But I'm sure that Cindy had a good reason to not travel the few miles to visit people who actually have had their human rights violated. After all, I don't think there's Jamba Juice in GITMO.

Tickle.com IQ Test

Call me boastful if you will, but any Liberals who think that Conservatives are all idiots, read it and weep.

Congratulations, GOP and College!
Your IQ score is 133

This number is based on a scientific formula that compares how many questions you answered correctly on the Classic IQ Test relative to others.

Your Intellectual Type is Facts Curator. This means you are highly intelligent and have picked up an impressive and unique collection of facts and figures over the years. You've got a remarkable vocabulary and exceptional math skills — which puts you in the same class as brainiacs like Bill Gates. And that's just some of what we know about you from your test results.

Boo-Hoo Boise

"The Broncos finished their season with a 13-0 record, a Fiesta Bowl trophy – and absolutely no chance of being the national champions.
Boise could be the only undefeated team in the country on Jan. 9 (if Ohio State loses to Florida), and they would watch the Gators celebrate and wonder, along with a lot of us, "what if?"
...And even if Ohio State caps a perfect season by beating the Gators, we still are left with a pair of unbeaten teams. Sure, the Buckeyes would be favored to dominate Boise State. But so were the Sooners." - Terry Bowden

"Turns out Florida was too good to be on the same field as Ohio State, and that Heisman Trophy winner Troy Smith and the Buckeyes were the ones who weren't worthy.
..."Honestly, we've played a lot better teams than them," Florida defensive end Jarvis Moss said. "I could name four or five teams in the SEC that could probably compete with them and play the same type of game we did against them." - Yahoo!

"Call it an upset if you will. But the No. 2 Gators, earning the second crown in school history, did more than knock off the No. 1 Buckeyes. They overwhelmed them. They embarrassed them. They manhandled them." - Gerry Ahern

Boise state can complain all they want about how they are the only undefeated team in the NCAA, but the fact of the matter is that if they had played Florida, they would have been down 41-14 by the end of the 1st quarter.

A quick look at the Western Athletic Conference will show you how much of a joke the conference really is. Only 4 teams of the 9 team conference finished over .500. Most other conferences have all but a few teams over the midway mark, and in the SEC, out of the 12 teams in the conference, 8 of them finished over .500.

Boise State also played no teams in the top 25. Teams like Florida and even Ohio State played 4 ranked teams over the course of the season.

Florida beat undefeated over-dog Ohio State by 27 points. Boise beat 11-2 over-dog Oklahoma by one in overtime. The Broncos don't deserve the national title, so shut up.

As for Troy Smith, this embarrassment was yet another reason to wait on the Hiesman Trophy votes until AFTER the bowl games.

And why the Hell isn't LSU #2 after destroying Notre Dame with the same 41-14 score?

26 of 40

Sorry I've been out of the 'sphere for so long. I've been in Atlanta for quite some time and have also been spending time with my family. My sister came in from Joy-see with her Husband for New Years. Also in town for New Year's was the College-ette, and that was fun. I almost took 1st place in a $20 buy in poker game. I settled for 2nd and taking home my buy-in.

I just came back to post about this survey over at Franz.org.

It's from 0-40 with a 0 being 100% Liberal, and a 40 being 100% Conservative.
Jesse Jackson got a 0, and Ronald Reagan is a 40. I scored a 26, one point over George H. W. Bush, and 4 below Jack Kemp.

I've always maintained that I am a a social moderate and an economic hard-line conservative/libertarian, and this quiz pretty well proves it.

Other quizes are the "Shortest Political Quiz Ever" where I scored one step more towards Libertarian than Conservative.

And just something I've been contemplating lately. Right Wing Clothing has made a remix of the song "The Battle" from The Chrinicles of Narnia, and at the end has a piece of Reagan's Farewell Address to the nation in it. Go read the whole thing, and listen to the song. It's impressive.
