Republicans: Pasty Unattractive White People?

That's how hack Bill Maher sees Republicans. He claimed on Larry King Live that they are "Bad at sex, they're pasty unattractive white people, and if you had to have sex with them, it would be over in an excurciating 3 minutes." Let's see some famous Republicans/Conservatives:

Laura Bush

Michelle Malkin

Juliet Huddy

And now some famous Liberals:

Cindy Sheehan

Helen Thomas

Dianne Feinstein

Even More BDS

Malkin takes a look at even more extreme B.D.S.; The Kill Bush Fanatics
Some of the signs to look for:

There is another type that is arguably a little less severe than the "Kill Bush Fanatics" and they are the more physical "Kill Servicemen Peace Activist" For example:
The Pierce County Sheriff's Department is searching for five people who allegedly attacked a uniformed National Guardsmen walking along 138th Street in Parkland Tuesday afternoon.
The soldier was walking to a convenience store when a sport utility vehicle pulled up alongside him and the driver asked if he was in the military and if he had been in any action.
The driver then got out of the vehicle, displayed a gun and shouted insults at the victim. Four other suspects exited the vehicle and knocked the soldier down, punching and kicking him.
“And during the assault the suspects called him a baby killer. At that point they got into the car and drove off and left him on the side of the road,” Detective Ed Troyer with the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department told KIRO 7 Eyewitness News.
The suspects were driving a black Chevy Suburban-type SUV.

Liberals Support The Troops?

I said it before, and I'll say it again folks,
These are the people who support, and make up the Democratic party. Think about that when you vote this November, and the following elections.

The Hot Wing Chump-ion Preview

The season starts in less than a week, so it's time to take a look at what all season the Hot Wing Chump-ions are about to have. But first a look back at last year:

Team Name: Pulaski Rednecks
2005 record: 9-4, 915 pts
2005 Playoofs: League Champion

This season;
Team Name: The Hot Wing Chump-ions
Manager: GOP and College

Week 1 Matchup: Gados
Week 1 starting lineup (team):

QB - Jake Plummer (Den)
The snake was looking like he might lose his job to rookie Jay Cutler, but fortunately coach Mike Shanahan stuck with Plummer. Plummer was a star QB last year only throwing 7 picks the entire season.

WR:
Joey Galloway (TB)
Joe Jurevicius (Cle)
Justin McCareins (NYJ)

Joey, and Jurevicius both got 10 passes last season into the endzone and was one of Tampa's prized possessions. Justin may be losing his spot, but we'll see closer to kick-off.

RB:
LenDale White (Ten)
Mike Bell (Den)

Mike bell is the undrafter rookie phenom that coach Shanahan is hoping to turn into the next Mike Anderson. LenDale is a ferocious rookie back for the Titans who if he plays his cards right, could be the Titan's new powerhouse.

TE:
Antonio Gates (SDC)

I made sure to get Antinio in the first round, if I didn't get Larry Johnson. Gates is hte tight end with Wide out stats at 10 TD passes and over 1,000 yards. It is my philosophy that a great tight end can make for a great season.

W/R:
Greg Jennings

Greg came out of the box hot and may have not only picked up the job as a wide out, but also as a kick/punt returner.

Kicker:
Adam Vinatieri

Adam was traded from the Pats to the colts, where he is liable to see a TON of PATs and a few good chances at some 3 pointers.

Defense:
Indianapolis

The second best performing defense in my opinion. The colts kept the score low and lopsided in their favor almost the entire season.

Bench:
Mewelde Moore (Min)
Steve McNair (Bal)
Marty Booker (Mia)
Phil Dawson (Cle)
Detroit

More B.D.S.

B.D.S. is rampant among pages like Think Progress, and at Huffington Post. I recently came across a blog called the Huffington Compost, which reviews some of the headlines and the comments of some more fargone B.D.S. sufferors.

For example, some reactions to the release of the Fox News reporters who were held captive until they converted to Islam (The "Religion of Peace") AT GUNPOINT.

America is celebrating the safe return of innocent men. Oh, wait, they work for Fox News. Cancel that celebration.
By: jacksnead on August 27, 2006 at 09:32am

How do we actually know they really kidnapped. Remember we are dealing With Fox. It could all be just a bunch of b.s. for ratings and sensationalism. I really have my doubts that they were ever kidnapped.
By: nosraf2008 on August 27, 2006 at 10:40am

Are any of you sure this event was even real? Let's see, Fox News - doesn't anybody smell something fishy here? Do we really know that this story wasn't all made up and the two jounalists were being filmed on a soundstage somewhere. C-mon people, this is why the repugs pull this shit anyway, because they know we are just so damned gullible!!
By: artboi on August 27, 2006 at 10:49am

I am glad to see them free even if they have such low morals as to work for faux propaganda network.Maybe the islamo fascists thought the American people needed to be lied to some more. Never trust republiscum!!
By: project on August 27, 2006 at 11:14am

If you think that was bad, look at some of the comments that came out when the reporters were first kidnapped.

Gee, that is a shame. Wish we could get Rove, Rummy and Cheney over there too.

When Did This Happen?

Jan and Damon have always been bitter enemies in the DBD cartoon series...but now they're having a BABY together? When the heck did they start seeing each other? I've been trying to find the first cartoon where they start dating, but it seems that they kind of jumped from "I hate you," to sleeping together...Where's the middle ground Chris?

Anti-Bush Protest In Nashville

The Great Storm That Won't Be

Liberals whined about Ernesto becoming the next Katrina, however, Ernesto has become more of a fizzle than a boom. The storm is slated to hit the southern part of Florida packing mere tropical storm winds (45 MPH now). In fact, Ernesto has decreased so much, that it is on the border of losing it's title of Tropical Storm (39-73 MPH winds) and simply being a Tropical Depression.
And I hate to be the bad guy a mere one year after Katrina, but after reading tripmasters statement about the Katrina aid, "Many of them are still waiting for assistance, a year after the event," I was glad to see this reaction of intelligence:
For cripes sake! How many more BILLIONS do we have to pour into that septic tank of LA.? Where did all that loot go for all these years? Why didn’t they reinforce those levees years ago instead of having the spoils go to all the “leaders” of that hell hole. The history of corruption and fraud is legend, and I am sick of all the whining and moaning about “were’s my assistance”.
I live in AZ. by choice, where’s my “assistance” for My A/C bill? Maybe if they didn’t get “assistance” they would get up off of their fat asses and do something besides breed to get more “assistance”.
Other good reactions at the very liberal Think Progress:

If they are waiting for aid then their beef is with the LOCAL government. The feds sent the money to them and that is how it ALWAYS works. I forgot to add: WAAAAAHHH!!!!! There feel better? - Retired Republican Soldier

You guys just don’t get how silly you look everytime you hype up one of these storms just to have it peter out on you. - Jason M. Hendler

Worst hurricane season my ass.

Hot Wing Conspiracy Week 21 Recap

HWC is back at GOP and College for this week and next, as the fantasy baseball league wraps up the regular season and heads for the playoffs.
So before I get rolling into the games, here's how the scoring breaks down:
The stats your team builds up are broken down into 12 groups. For batters, there are runs, homeruns, RBI‚’s, strike-outs, stolen bases, and battering average. For pitching, there are wins, saves, strike-outs, holds , ERA, and WHIP. When the week is done and the stats are totalled up, each one of those categories is a win, a loss, or a tie for the teams playing. So in a given week, you can have any combination of wins, losses, and ties that add up to 12.

Let's get to the games!

Baghdad Bombers - 6
The right wing nuts - 3 (3 ties HR, RBI's, and SB)
I had this game the whole week, but I was disappointed in the bombing squad. Jim Edmonds was, and still is out with a concussion, and Garrett Atkins went the whole week without putting one over the fence. On top of that Miner getting blown away in just 1 1/3 innings and the 2 run 1/3 of an inning blown save by Izzy rocketed my team ERA to 5.65 with a 1.35 WHIP. The nuts were able to beat teh ERA with an ugly 4.85, but lost the WHIP with a 1.52. Somebody on my team hit the detination button while we were still huddled, and cost the Bombers a large win, and with this week's game vs. the dominating Wookies (139-93-20, 6 games ahead of the 2nd place Cardinals) my playoff spot may not be very secured, even with a 9 game lead over 7th place.
Game MVP: Austin Kearns - 7 Runs, and RBI's, 3 Dinggers, and a stolen base, with a .316 average. Sorry Papi, not this week.
Game Wash-Out: Zach Miner - 1 1/3 innings pitched, 6 runs, and he lost his rotation spot. Ouch.

Wookies Will Win - 10
Robots Eat Babies - 1 (Tie in Saves)
Yoo know, it's fun to see my brother get beat, but not that bad. Wookies were pissed about losing to fmragtops last week, and it showed. I mean this one wasn't even really close. Wookies dominated most of the pitching stats, and killed with an ERA of only 3.36. Batting was all Wookies. With Chipper, Dye, and Delgado combining for 12 Home Runs, it's pretty easy to see why he's first. Also, wookies are locked for the playoffs.
Game MVP: Jermaine Dye - 8 times across the plate, 11 RBI's and 5 home runs with a .393 average.
Game Wash-Out:The Man - Ater a 10-1 win last week, being on vaccation this week vs. the number one team may have blown the Robot's chances at a playoff spot. At least he had fun though.

RFTR - 4
webcats - 8
Pitching and hitting were both 4-2 in favor of the cats. RFTR's philosophy of leave it alone isn't quite working as well as it did in football. If he would have updated his stats, the scores may have been reversed since webcats didn't check his team either.
Game MVP: Paul Konerko - 5 runs, 7 RBI's, and a couple knocks. That's the best...
Game Wash-Out: The coaches - RFTR has no chance at the post season, but if webcats loses this week due to lack of concern, then he'll more than likely be out too.

bRight & Early - 5
Poca Dots Blog! - 7
Surber lost to Wyatt last week, and that had to be pretty embarassing, but he pulled out a win to drag bRight down to the playoff bump spot, only 2 games ahead of 7th place. It was pretty much a pitcher hitter duel with bRight getting skunked in every hitting catagory except stolen bases.
Game MVP: Chris Capuano - 12 innings, 7 hits, 2 runs, and 12 K's Not bad.
Game Washout: Nick Swisher - 1 run, one RBI, one HR, and 6 fans, with a .105 average.

The PAWs - 6
fmragtops spewers - 5 (Tie in pitchink K's)
FM is still a bit shaken up from the 10-1 routing last week, but he put up a good fight for the PAWs. This game was about as even as you can get. 3-3 in the hitting stats, and 3-2-1 in the pitching. The PAWs have a killer bullpen, but apparently the starting rotation can't get a win if it killed them. FM is playing Repubs lost in SD this week, so unless something drastic happens, fm is about as locked in as they get.
Game MVP: Vernoin Wells - 6 runs and RBI's, 2 knocks, and 3 stolen bases.
Game Wash-Out: Danys Baez - 1/3 of an inning 4 runs, a 108 ERA for the game, and a trip to the DL. Ouch.

Repubs Lost in SD - 2
CZC Owns - 9 (Tie in holds)
Wyatt and CZC are teh only two teams to have had a losing week to SD, but unlike the gunslinger, CZC didn't want to make the same mistake twice. SD only took saves and K's but with an overall ERA of 7.82, CZC had an easy time pitching, and took all of the hitting stats by storm.
Game MVP: Kenny Rogers - 2 wins, 17 innings, and only one run allowed. Way to go Hoss!
Game Wash-Out: Mark Mulder - 1 game, 3 innings 9 runs. Yuck.

Akhtar The Divorcee - 9
The Glatinators - 3
Akhtar smacked the Glats pretty well here, however, what impresses me the most is that in a whole week, the entire Glats team only had 13 strikeouts. Akhtar is one of the few teams that elected to have a bare minimum pitching staff, with a loaded set of hitters, and it seems to be working pretty well, except in the K's.
Game MVP: Carlos Beltran - 10 Runs, 7 RBI's, and 3 knocks, and only one K. Shame his average was only .222
Game Wash-Out: Brad Radke - As the only Akhtar starter with over a 1.50 ERA for the week, he sticks out like a sore thumb.

Gashouse Gorillas - 6
Columbia Cardinals - 5 (Tie in HR's)
I know, I was bashing Wytatt earlier, but it was all for this...WYATT BEAT THE #2 TEAM! If this was ever a week for the gorillas to shine, this was it. Cardinals were lucky this week. I was watching the matchup closely, and for most of the week Wyatt had a significant lead, to the extent of 7-3 or 8-2.
Game MVP: Lance Berkman - 6 runs, 8 RBI's, and 3 dingers
Game Wash-Out: A. Rod - 3/24 for the week with 2 runs, 2 RBI's and a home run. But what gets me? The 14 whiffs. A-rod struck out more times this week than he made contact with the ball.

So, here's a look at the standings as we go into the last week before the playoffs, as well as this week's matchups.

A Good November For Trash Cans

If we can't win in this environment, we have to question the whole premise of the party."
-- James Carville

Carville placed the trash can over his head back in 2002 when the Democrats lost the majority in the House and then became a 22 seat underdog. This year, if the Dems blow it again, maybe Alan Colmes will steal the can before James can get to it.

Semi Free Man

John Mark Karr has been released after the prosecution dropped their case in the JonBenet Ramsey case. His DNA did not match that of the stains found on Ramsey, but he is still being held on Child Pornography charges dating back from 2001.

Seriously, he needs help, guilty or not.

Liberals Vs. Fact

AP Headline: Ernesto hits Cuba, on track for Florida
HAVANA - Tropical Storm Ernesto hit Cuba west of the U.S. naval air base at Guantanamo on Monday after killing one person Haiti as it stayed on track toward Florida, where forecasters expect it to strengthen into a hurricane.

Think Progress Headline: Hurrican Ernesto heads towards New Orleans
“Ernesto became the first hurricane of the Atlantic season Sunday with winds of 75 mph, and forecasters said it would strengthen as it headed toward the Gulf of Mexico, where it could menace a wide swath of coastline including New Orleans.”

Who's fear mongering now? T.P. had the post up Sunday morning. Last I checked, the storm track was updated to hit Florida Saturday evening.

Liberal reactions:
BushCo. is hoping with one big swipe N.O. will be KO’d and then they will get the OK to build oil refineries.. - Kay

Maybe BushCO can turn New Orleans into a WHITE ONLY gated community free from the future POLICE STATE - Kay again

The southern regions would be far better off with Hugo Chavez’s oversight, a capable leader who has empathy for victims of natural disasters. His willingness to put $ into recovery, along with follow-up is commendable. Too bad that region has two more cycles of the Chimp-in-chief’s beaurocracatic fumbling, lying and stealing. They’re screwed. - beavercleaver

But I did find one smart comment:
I love your site, visti often. But, don’t you think the bold “headline” is a bit misleading, more worthy of cable news? The hurricane is heading into the Carribean. Yes, that “heads toward” New Orleans, but please. And the (very imprecise) modeling has it going into Florida. - Joel

Bush Wants Doomsday?

Liberal Hack, Bill Maher claimed on his show that, not so much Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, but instead President George W. Bush is looking to start World War III, to which his audience cheered. When Christopher Hitchens came back at Maher, the crowd booed, and was promptly given the bird. However, as Iran Focus (viaNewsmax) explains, Maher couldn't have been more wrong.

Top official says Iran might produce nuclear weapons
Tehran, Iran, Aug. 26 - A top Iranian official warned on Friday that Tehran may develop nuclear weapons as a "preventitiveve measure"” against threats posed by the West.
"The patience of the Iranian nation has a limit. If [the West] crosses this limit, our nation, which is very suspicious of the good will of Western countries, will force Majlis to ratify the law for Iran to withdraw from the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty"”, Mohammad-Reza Bahonar, the deputy speaker of Iran’s Majlis, or Parliament, said on Friday.
... Addressing the West, Bahonar said, "“You must fear the day that the Iranian people pour into the streets and demonstrate, calling on the government to produce nuclear weapons to counter the threats."
He issued a stark warning that “any aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran will be met with a hard reaction by all Muslims across the world.

A preventitive measure” against threats posed by the West? Israel had better not so much as breathe wrong, otherwise they may have "committed a threat to Iran"...

Payback's A Bitch

I guess this is payback for all the wrong reporting in Reutergate?

Israeli strike hits journalists' vehicle
GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip - Israeli aircraft fired two missiles early Sunday at an armored car belonging to the Reuters news agency, wounding five people, including two cameramen, Palestinian witnesses and hospital officials said.
The Israeli army said it did not realize the car's passengers were journalists and only attacked because the vehicle was driving in a suspicious manner near Israeli troops in the middle of a combat zone.
... "It's unfortunate when journalists get hurt, but that is not the intention," Meir added.
However, the area was an active battlefield and the reporters should not have been there, she said, adding that three Hamas militants attacked soldiers from the same spot 10 minutes after the airstrike.

One Thing Anti-War/No-WMD Libs Cant Hide From

Their past.

It is obvious that there is an attempt here, based on the whole history of this operation since 1991, to protect whatever remains of [Saddam’s] capacity to produce weapons of mass destruction, the missiles to deliver them, and the feed stocks necessary to produce them. The UNSCOM inspectors believe that Iraq still has stockpiles of chemical and biological munitions, a small force of Scud-type missiles, and the capacity to restart quickly its production program and build many, many more weapons.
... Now, let’s imagine the future. What if [Saddam] fails to comply, and we fail to act, or we take some ambiguous third route which gives him yet more opportunities to develop this program of weapons of mass destruction and continue to press for the release of the sanctions and continue to ignore the solemn commitments that he made? Well, he will conclude that the international community has lost its will. He will then conclude that he can go right on and do more to rebuild an arsenal of devastating destruction. And some day, some way, I guarantee you, he’ll use the arsenal. And I think every one of you who’s really worked on this for any length of time believes that, too. [emphasis added] If we fail to respond today, Saddam and all those who would follow in his footsteps will be emboldened tomorrow by the knowledge that they can act with impunity, even in the face of a clear message from the United Nations Security Council and clear evidence of a weapons of mass destruction program.” - William Jefferson Clinton, 1998

Read all of the essay, and see the nasty skeleton in every Anti-war/No-WMD Liberal's closet.

HAHAHA

Ousted Democrat Joe Lieberman has refused to endorse 3 other Democrats in CT after he was uprooted by Ned Lamont in the primary. And for some reason, Kossiks are confused.

I think Glenn says it best with,
"Why are the netroots surprised by this? You guys stuck a knife into him. Of course he'll stick you back. And I suspect that this is only the beginning."

Questioning Liberal Philosophy

I hear many conservatives get into a debate with a liberal about what kind of legislation the liberal would pass if given the chance. But often times, the conservative asks the wrong opposing question. Well, I'm here to ask the RIGHT questions. Let's look at Russell Shaw of Huffington Post, and his changes he would make.

1) Roe V. Wade - Block the next Supreme Court appointment, one which would surely result in the overturning of Roe and the death of hundreds if not thousands of women from abortion-prohibiting states at the hands of back-alley abortionists

First off, all Roe v. Wade does is ensure that there can not be a federal law denying the right to an abortion. If it was overturned, then the decision would go to the state.
My question; Why NOT let the state, county, or even city decide whether or not to have legalized abortions? (Obvious exceptions are rape, incest, etc. Third trimesters in my opinion should be outlawed. There is no medical evidence that an abortion that late is needed)

2) Health Care - Save hundreds of thousands of American lives by enacting universal health care

Question: Who would pay for Universal Healthcare? Would you use the money hemorrhaging Tenncare as a reference? Would you use the ineffective Canadian Socialized Healthcare as one?

3) Environment - Save untold numbers of lives by pushing for cleaner air standards that would greatly reduce heart and lung diseases;
More enthusiastically address the need for mass transit, the greater availability of which would surely cut highway deaths

Question: Isn't heart disease caused by bad eating and exercising habits? and isn't most Lung disease caused by smoking, not smog? And are the liberal/Democrat voting Union workers (who employ the lobbyists) of GM, Ford ,and Daimler Chrysler going to want to shift from gas powered cars to cars more green friendly than E-85? Won't the oil lobbyists that are "in the pockets of Republicans" just move to the Democrats if they do gain power?
(Mass Transit I can deal with. After being in NYC/NJ for a week, it's VERY easy to accept when needed.)

4) Gun Control - Enact meaningful gun control legislation that would reduce crime and cut fatalities by thousands a year

Question: Do you really believe that gun control leads to lower crime? What about the overwhelming statistics that show violent crime INCREASES as the gun control laws become stricter?

5) Stem Cells - Fund stem cell research that could result in cures saving millions of lives

I have no real complaint about stem cells. There was a recent article about a new method, and if it can cure some currently incurable diseases, I'm all for it.

6) Minimum Wage/Crime - Boost the minimum wage, helping to cut down on poverty which helps spawn violent crime and the deaths that spring from those acts

Questions: If you raise minimum wage to $7/hr, what do you then call $7/hr? What percentage of people making minimum wage would be better off if they didn't live someplace like NYC, LA, or San Fran, where it costs so much to live? Were the people who shot Notorious B.I.G. and Tupac poor, or was it a consequence of their social environment?

7) War on Terror/Iraq - Be less inclined to launch foolish wars, absence of which would save thousands of soldiers' lives- and quite likely moderate the likelihood of further terror acts

Questions: Didn't Islamic militants like Osama bin Laden and other terrorists hate us BEFORE Bush took office? Didn't Al-Queda attack us in 1993, during the Clinton Administration? Do you remember what the Islamic Arab reaction to 9/11 was?

Liberalim is full of ideal world situations, but so is Economics. However there are, as conservatives discovered, unintended consequences. Little hiccups in the real world that are not seen in an ideal plan, and often times lead to another even greator problem.

Examples of Unintended Consequences:
  • Prohibition and the rise of organized crime.
  • Viox and heart troubles.
  • Government controled housing becoming slums/projects
  • Rabbits being released in Australia, then overpopulating the continent.
  • Strict gun control and the huge jump in murders in D.C.

To the B.D.S. suffering liberals, like Murtha, Kerry, Kennedy, and Dylan Avery who have forgotten the tragedy of 9/11, and the people who did it;
Let me give you a reminder.

And may I remind liberals that this is BEFORE the Iraq war, BEFORE Hezbollah attacked Israel, BEFORE the War on Terror, and BEFORE we went after Bin Laden.

Beer executive Pete Coors pleaded guilty Friday to driving while impaired, a lesser charge than the DUI count filed against him after his May arrest, and was sentenced to 24 hours of community service.

I really don't see a pattern here to justify profiling, do you? So, to ensure we Americans never offend anyone, particularly fanatics intent on killing us, airport security screeners will no longer be allowed to profile anyone. While not all Muslims are terrorists, [almost] all terrorists are Muslims.

They must conduct random searches of 80-year-old women, little kids, airline pilots with proper identification, secret agents of the President's security detail, 85-year old Congressmen with metal hips, and Medal of Honor winner and former Governor Joe Foss, but leave Muslim males between the ages 17 and 40 alone because of profiling. (it isn't politically correct)

Recall the writer of the award winning story "Forrest Gump" who so aptly put it, "Stupid is as stupid does." Please consider passing this on to everyone in your address book.

Unfortunately as the bumper sticker says .."Some people just need killing, that is why we have Marines."

Our Country and our troops need our support and prayers.

Ig'nrt

That's a saying here in the south. And no, it's not the same as being ignorant. Someone who is ignorant learns from their world. However some of the people out in San Fransisco are just plain Ig'nrt. They look at the world around them and they refuse to change, or at least face the facts that they might be wrong.
Take for example this protestor. His sign states that all Israel has to do is hold their fire. However, does he forget that Hezbollah fired an average of 150-200 rockets per day, for over 30 days entirely, and intentionally into Israeli cities from Lebanese cities with complete disregard toIsraeli, or even their own civilians?

Ig'nrt. Just plain Ig'nrt.

From Planck:
For the life of me, I tried to think of the correct appellative to apply to this leftwing nutjob and after hours of excruciating and rigorous exercise of my little grey cells I could not come up with anything more accurate, more descriptive, more truthful than Liberal Idiot. And although, in the main, it is a shabby argument to use, sometimes a cigar is just a cigar and a liberal is just an idiot.

I guess we need to talk to Slick Willy about exactly what a cigar is...

What Are They Feeding Him?

The story claims that he is 13, and needless to say, I have my doubts.

But then again, when have you ever heard of a 13 year old being 6'8" tall and weighing 256 pounds. And that's not the only giant to be on the Saudi Arabian team. Their center fielder is 6-3 and 190 pounds, and I swear I can see a 5 o'clock shadow. Also, their third baseman is 5'8" and 226 pounds. Geez.

Why Blogs Are Becoming The Next Great Media

Blogs have been long referred to as "The Media Watchdog," however, if things continue the way that they have been, blogs may in fact BECOME the media.

For example, take the recently debunked claims that Israel bombed an ambulance in Beirut during the 34 day Israel-Hezbollah War. In fact, the event appears to have been completely faked by Hezbollah in a massive non-combat propaganda campaign, and it worked! The mainstream media bought it like a sucker on the used car lot.

Bloggers were able to debunk this Hezbollah lie with the massive database of information available on the internet, including information provided by the media themselves. Taken one at a time, the news paints the exact same picture. The ambulance was bombed, the man was injured, and so on and so on. However, when you look at all of the information at the same time, a very different picture is painted.

Go over to Zombie Time and read the whole debunking.

On the night of July 23, 2006, an Israeli aircraft intentionally fired missiles at and struck two Lebanese Red Cross ambulances performing rescue operations, causing huge explosions that injured everyone inside the vehicles. Or so says the global media, including Time magazine, the BBC, the New York Times, the Los Angeles Times and thousands of other outlets around the world. If true, the incident would have been an egregious and indefensible violation of the Geneva Convention, and would constitute a war crime committed by the state of Israel.

But there's one problem: It never happened.

Survivor: Race Based

Watching MSNBC this morning there was a debate between a Radio Show Host, and a Black Baptist Pastor over the new season of Survivor: Cook Islands. The debate is over whether or not the show's teams should be teamed up according to their ethnicity. Both the pastor and the anchor were on the side of "This is adding to the racial divide of the country," and in general pulling a race card.
However the Radio host had a pretty good point. That we are bickering...OVER A T.V. SHOW! This isn't "I was kicked out of my bus seat because I'm black," or "I was arrested by INS for 'looking hispanic.'" This is dividing a group of people on a common factor for a contest. This should be no different than if Survivor divided men vs. women, blondes vs brunettes, or anything like that.

Seriously people....You're making a racial issue of a T.V. Show!

Michelle makes a race issue of it, but wouldn't watch CBS anyways.

Scrappleface has an idea for next season. And I have to say, I would have to think about that one before giving it the okay, because extremists would be likely to get violent with each other.

And just heard on MSNBC: Baseball teams are being SUED for having a "Ladies Night."

There's nothing left to do but shake my head in shame.

Just Say Thanks

Xerox has a great campaign going on to send support to our troops overseas. It's called "Let's Say Thanks." You pick out a card design, then pick out either a pre-made message or write one yourself. After you create the message, Xerox will print out the card, and send it to a troop who is overseas. They don't say who it is sent to, or where, but know that something as simple as a postcard with a friendly letter can brighten someone's day.

It only takes a minute, and can mean the world to some one who needs it.

Truely Activist Judge

Liberals claim that there is no such thing as an Activist Judge, but I found something in today's Best of the Web that COMPLETELY destroys that theory.

Remember the woman who made the ruling, Anna Taylor Diggs? Apparently word leaked from the Michigan A.C.L.U. that she is a secretary and one of the trustees of an organization that gave a total of $125,000 in 4 grants to the Michigan A.C.L.U, who was the main plaintiff in the case. However, Diggs did not feel that that was important, and neither disclosed the information during the case, nor is she willing to comment on the facts now.

And who broke the story? I'll be damned...The New York Times. However, the Times was not the group who discovered the money trail; That credit goes to Judicial Watch. In fact, the Times does a magnificent job at trying to portray the issue as unimportant, and a non-factor in her decision. They even ask a professor from N.Y.U. about his opinion on the case. He replied:

“The question is whether her impartiality might reasonably be questioned,’’ Professor Gillers said, “and the fact that she sits on the board of a group that gives money to the plaintiff for an otherwise unrelated endeavor would not in my mind raise reasonable questions about her partiality on the issue of warrantless wiretapping.”

However, as BotW points out, when ONE of the 9 Supreme Court Justices was shown to have gone hunting with VP Chaney, he was in an uproar.

Scalia's opinion also claims that the appeal is not really about Cheney, who is sued only in his "official capacity," but about the power of the Vice President and the meaning of complex statutes. Ignored is the fact that rejection of the appeal can hurt Cheney politically in an election year if the secret records reveal a pro-industry bias in Cheney's leadership of the study group. That may also explain why Cheney stonewalled the nonpartisan General Accounting Office when it asked him for the same information.
An opposing argument could reveal these and other flaws in Scalia's logic and might well persuade a disinterested judge to reach a contrary conclusion. Judges have been disqualified for much less.

That case was decided 7-2 in favor of VP Chaney. Even if Scalia had dropped out, it would have been the same. However in the case of the NSA taps, there was ONLY ONE JUDGE.

And as the Times points out,
"Federal law requires judges to disqualify themselves from hearing a case if their impartiality “might reasonably be questioned” based on factors like a financial or personal relationship with a party in the case." - NYT

Longer Than WWII

Think Progress declares that we have been involved in Iraq for 1,253 days , and proclaims that it is 9 days longer (up to today) than the United States involvement in World War II.

But let's see the whole comparison of WW II to Iraq.

WW2: Draft instated
Iraq: NO DRAFT

WW2: Over 15 Million total deployed from U.S
Iraq: 500,000 total depolyed from U.S.

WW2: 405,399 deaths
Iraq: 3,178 deaths

WW2: 671,846 wounded
Iraq: 20,123 wounded

Thanks Liberals. Looks like Iraq is nowhere near as deathly or involved as either Vietnam or WWII. Whats next? Korea? The First Great War? Civil War? 1812? Revolutionary? French-Indian? Be my guest.

I'm BACK!

Well, The Mid-South Nationals didn't quite come out as I had hoped. It rained Friday, pushing the only qualifying session for the pros back to 9PM, since it took almost 4 hours to dry the track. Saturday was great. It was hot, but the weather was good, and there was a nice breeze for most of the afternoon. Then Sunday came around. I was so excited because it was the first time I would be watching the eliminations. And I wasn't disappointed....until it started raining...AGAIN. This time I couldn't wait until 9:00 at night to watch them dry the track, so I left to start home. I asked about a refund for the ticket since I was driving back home. "There are no refunds. And if it's cancelled for tonight, then they will just run tomorrow morning."
I was PISSED! Because I had to move into my apartment the next day, and as one man pointed out ot me during the Friday rain, "I didn't pay to watch it rain." So after I got home I sent an e-mail pleading my case to the people at the track, and they were very understanding.

Memphis also has said that they are going to move the date for the races to sometime when the event doesn't happen during a 115 degree heat index. I may not have expected it, but the Mid-South Nationals are quickly becoming an event that I'll have to attend as often as possible.

And dangit! I can't wait for the Mac Tools U.S. Nationals in Indy in 2 weeks!!! I get to see the Qualifying runs on Saturday and Sunday, as well as the Ringers Gloves Pro Stock Bike Challenge, and the Skoal Showdown in the Top Fuel Funny Cars.

So...who wants to see pictures??!!! OKAY!

The Blogger Is Out

If you've been thinking that I've been doing a lot of travel for the past couple months, then you're right; This weekend is no different. This weekend is the NHRA O'Reilly Mid-South Nationals, and I will be there all weekend to see the events in the nasty muggy weather. But you know what makes it worth it?

That! 7,000 body quaking horsepower, 160 ear shattering dB, and a quarter mile in a blistering 4.5 seconds at 300+ M.P.H.

I will be sure to post a couple of the hundreds of pictures I am bound to take. (last year I took 123 in ONE DAY)

OK, one more from last year.

Liberal News About The Country

I've got two stories to cover here today. First is from the substitute blogger Karol Sheinin over at Michelle Malkin. She mentions a piece in The Opinion Journal by her friend Julia Gorin about how the Ms. Magazine has decided to have people write in and say, "I had an abortion." Julia asks the question "Why not have people write in, 'I wasn't aborted.'"
This may seem like Uber-Pro-Life banter to whoever doesn't look into the story. However, as Karol states, they are both from the Soviet Union; A country where there are more abortions than live births, due to the fact that it is the only form of birth control in the country, and people have become so desensitized to them. And not only that, Julia is a second Generation "almost abortion." Her father was concieved during the Second World War, and was almost terminated.
Liberals like Pro Choice-NARAL want to turn abortion into a form of birth control, rather than a medical necessity, and that is a VERY slippery slope.

The next comes from John at Your Cake Or Death. It seems like the NSA wiretaps, which may have aided in the arrest of the foiled plot to destroy jets from London to America, have been deemed a violation of the Search and Seizure Amendment in the Constitution. The judge that ordered the stop was Anna Diggs Taylor, a judge appointed by Jimmy Carter. Taylor's excuse for the ruling was,
"It was never the intent of the framers to give the president such unfettered control, particularly where his actions blatantly disregard the parameters clearly enumerated in the Bill of Rights,'' she wrote in the 43-page opinion.
... The office of the chief executive was itself created, with its powers, by the Constitution,'' wrote Taylor, a 73-year-old senior judge appointed by Democratic President Jimmy Carter. ``There are no hereditary kings in America and no powers not created by the Constitution. So all `inherent powers' must derive from the Constitution."
The ACLU's reaction, a predictable:
"[This is] a landmark victory against the abuse of power that has become the hallmark of the Bush administration."
And, "[The ruling is] another nail in the coffin in the Bush administration's legal strategy in the war on terror."

I have a question for the ACLU.

How many lives is the "Search and Siezure" Amendment worth? Because apparently without the NSA taps, it's at least 3,000 English and American lives.
Much of the probe involved examining vast government databases of airline manifests, immigration records and telephone calls in and out of the United States.
When they did question potential witnesses, agents took precautions not to spoil the British surveillance operation or alert potential suspects here.
Working with the names of British suspects, investigators did find records of some telephone contacts between Britain and the United States. In short order, it was determined the calls either involved suspects' associates or benign family communication, the officials said.

Not only that, but apparently Britain sees our wiretaps as a HUGE advantage in the War on Terror.

Thanks ACLU, for tying our hands behind our backs.

Page 16 News 8/16/06

It's time for another installment of Page 16 News: News you won't hear in the Main Stream Media.

First on the page, so far only a couple news agencies that I have seen showed this, Fox News, and I think the other was CNN. (CNN was a surprise, but then I remembered that it is headquartered in Atlanta, GA) Cynthia McKinney's Black Panthers were caught on camera saying, "You ain't in Israel and this ain't no Lebanese people, so back up. Gonna get your Jewish [expletive]...… (inaudible)..…."
And, "Why do you think she lost? You wanna know what led to the loss? Israel. The Zionists. You. Put on your yarmulke and celebrate."
I once said that Every Black Muslim group I saw was peaceful, but now I'm going to have to say that it is no longer the case. The New Black Panther Party for Self-Defense is a Black Islamic militant group bent on destroying Israel and all of the Jewish race. Don't believe me? Let's look at some quotes from The ADL by some of their leaders.

"I called them [Jews] bloodsuckers. I'm not going to change that. Our lessons talk about the bloodsuckers of the poor in the supreme wisdom of the Nation of Islam. It's that old no-good Jew, that old imposter Jew, that old hooked-nose, bagel-eating, lox-eating, Johnny-come-lately perpetrating a fraud, just crawled out of the caves and hills of Europe, so-called damn Jew. . . and I feel everything I'm saying up here is kosher." - Khallid Abdul Muhammad, 1993

"I say you [the Jews] are called Goldstein, Silverstein and Rubenstein because you've been stealing all the gold and silver and rubies all over the world, and it's true . . . because of your stealing and roguing and lying all over the face of the earth." - Khallid Abdul Muhammad, Feb. 1994

Malik Zulu Shabazz: "Who is it that caught and killed Nat Turner?"
Audience: "Jews!"
Shabazz: "Who is that controls the Federal Reserve?"
Audience: "Jews!"
Shabazz: "Who is it that controls the media and Hollywood?"
Audience: "Jews! Jews!" - Early 1994

"Kill every goddamn Zionist in Israel! Goddamn little babies, goddamn old ladies! Blow up Zionist supermarkets!" - Malik Zulu Shabazz Apr. 2002

Second on Page 16 News, we visit Centcom, for a check up on thoccurrenceses in Iraq, and Afghanistan.
The first thing that struck my attention was this picture, with a caption that reads, "Soldiers of the 4th Brigade, 6th Iraqi Army Division, aka the Desert Lion Brigade, stand in a pass in review ceremony at Forward Operating Base Mahmudiyah South Monday. The unit is now in control of battlespace in south Baghdad. Department of Defense photo by SGT Trevor Snyder, 124th MPAD"

And that's not the only bit. Did you know that Iraqi troops have begun to take over full responsibility in parts of Iraq? They are, more and more every day.

Then the last ,and largest thing in my opinion was brought to my attention by Bill O'Reilly last night on The Factor.

Jeffery Epstein is prominentnt Democrat in Palm Beach, and was arrested for...well, just read this.
"In March 2005, a worried mother contacted Palm Beach police. She said another parent had overheard a conversation between their children.
Now the mother was afraid her 14-year-old daughter had been molested by a man on the island.
... Detectives interviewed the girl, who told them a friend had invited her to a rich man's house to perform a massage. She said the friend told her to say she was 18 if asked. At the house, she said she was paid $300 after stripping to her panties and massaging the man while he masturbated.
... In October, police searched the Palm Beach mansion. They discovered photos of naked, young-looking females, just as several of the girls had described in interviews. Hidden cameras were found in the garage area and inside a clock on Epstein's desk, alongside a girl's high school transcript.
Two of Epstein's former employees told investigators that young-looking girls showed up to perform massages two or three times a day when Epstein was in town.
They said the girls were permitted many indulgences. A chef cooked for them. Workers gave them rides and handed out hundreds of dollars at a time."
That's not what disturbs me. What bothers me is AFTER the man was arrested. From The Factor Memo:
We'll begin at the beginning. Florida State Attorney Barry Krischer of Palm Beach County aggressively prosecuted Rush Limbaugh for illegally obtaining prescription drugs, at one time even demanding Limbaugh's private medical records. Subsequently a treatment option settled the case.
Then Palm Beach authorities embarrassed Limbaugh by publicizing a legal medical prescription he held which was discovered by authorities checking him after a private plane flight.
Now some people, including me, believe malice was involved in the Limbaugh situation and suspicion falls on Krischer, a committed Democrat. Now the prosecutor is in the middle of a far more serious controversy. Palm Beach police chief Michael Reiter has asked Krischer to remove himself from the case of suspected sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
Chief Reiter believes that Krischer is in the tank for Epstein, a very wealthy businessman who has donated more than $100,000 to Democrat candidates including Hillary Clinton and Chuck Schumer.
Reiter wants to charge Epstein with four counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor.
... But state attorney Krischer rejected chief Reiter's suggestion and brought the case to a grand jury which returned only a prostitute charge against Epstein. Chief Reiter is outraged. Krischer denies any wrongdoing but surely he knows that Epstein has hired a batter of attorneys including Alan Dershowitz to try and discredit the young girls who are accusing him. The dirt is flying in Palm Beach.
As for Chief Reiter, he has handed his evidence over to the FBI because he believes Krischer will not prosecute the case honestly.

The Truth About Taxes

by Anonymous

Let's put tax cuts in terms everyone can understand.
Suppose that every day, ten men go out for dinner. The bill for all ten comes to $100. If they paid their bill the way we pay our taxes, it would go something like this:

The first four men-the poorest-would pay nothing;
The fifth would pay $1:
The sixth would pay $3;
The seventh $7;
The eighth $12;
The ninth $18.
The tenth man-the richest-would pay $59.

That's what they decided to do. The ten men ate dinner in the restaurant every
day and seemed quite happy with the arrangement-until one day, the owner threw
them a curve. "Since you are all such good customers," he said, "I'm going to reduce the cost of your daily meal by $20."

So now dinner for the ten only cost $80. The group still wanted to pay their bill the way we pay our taxes. So the first four men were unaffected. They would still eat for free. But what about the other six-the paying customers? How could they divvy up the $20 windfall so that everyone would get his "fair share?"

The six men realized that $20 divided by six is $3.33. But if they subtracted that from everybody's share, then the fifth man and the sixth man would end up being *paid* to eat their meal. So the restaurant owner suggested that it would be fair to reduce each man's bill by roughly the same amount, and he proceeded to work out the amounts each should pay.

And so the fifth man paid nothing, the sixth pitched in $2, the seventh paid $5,
the eighth paid $9, the ninth paid $12, leaving the tenth man with a bill of $52
instead of his earlier $59.

Each of the six was better off than before. And the first four continued to eat free.
But once outside the restaurant, the men began to compare their savings.

"I only got a dollar out of the $20," declared the sixth man.

He pointed to the tenth. "But he got $7!"

"Yeah, that's right," exclaimed the fifth man. "I only saved a dollar, too. It's
unfair that he got seven times more than me!"

"That's true!" shouted the seventh man.

"Why should he get $7 back when I got only $2? The wealthy get all the breaks!"

"Wait a minute," yelled the first four men in unison. "We didn't get anything at
all. The system exploits the poor!"

The nine men surrounded the tenth and beat him up.

The next night he didn't show up for dinner, so the nine sat down and ate
without him. But when it came time to pay the bill, they discovered something
important. They were $52 short!

And that, boys and girls, journalists and college instructors, is how the tax
system works.

The people who pay the highest taxes get the most benefit from a tax
reduction.

Tax them too much, attack them for being wealthy, and they just may not show
up at the table anymore.

Unfortunately, Liberals cannot grasp this straightforward logic!

Mike Wallace: Off His Rocker

Mike Wallace has been quoted saying that Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is a good man, smart, and other things like that. Well, he appeared with Sean Hannity, and this is what struck me as being quite scary. Remember how Ahmadinejad said that he would like Israel wiped off the map? This is what he told Hannity;

Sean Hannity: Mike, but his statements are such that he wants to go beyond that. His statements are annihilate, wipe off the Earth.
MW: No, no, no.
SH: The world.
MW: Hold it, hold it.
SH: Wipe off the map.
MW: Yes, he says wipe off the map, and of course I asked him over and over about that. He says in effect, hey, it's perfectly sensible to do.

And Mike Wallace believes that he is a smart, good looking man, and not a crazed dictator looking to a) wipe out an entire nation of people and b) conquer the entire world and destroy all "infidels."

K T Cat makes a good point about the Mike Wallace bit.

People are taking Mike Wallace to task over this. They are missing the point. Mike is one guy. He's an airhead with a microphone. Who held the camera for him? Who held the boom mike? Who did his make up? Booked his flight, edited the film, got the coffee, took notes on the trip and on and on and on. It's insanity at the corporate level.

We don't need to be asking all of the questions to Mike Wallace, but some of them need to be directed to the top members there at 60 Minutes, as well as the corporation itself.

I found this bit at Hotair, and as Allahpundit explains, The Associated Press knew the photos were being staged, however they released letters stating exactly the opposite. Look for yourself.

And remember, this was a story created BY the Associated Press on August 2, just a couple weeks ago.

NEW YORK Three news agencies on Tuesday rejected challenges to the veracity of photographs of bodies taken in the aftermath of an Israeli airstrike in Lebanon, strongly denying that the images were staged.
Photographers from The Associated Press, Reuters and Agence France-Presse all covered rescue operations Sunday in Qana, where at least 28 Lebanese were killed. Many of their photos depicted rescue workers carrying dead children.

And the pictures are legitimate, Yahoo! News photograps. Don't believe me? Look at their web addresses.

The d.yimg.com is Yahoo! News' photo database. The Associated Press KNEW the images were staged, and yet, still ran them, and still issued the "no staged photos" report.

What picture will Reuters fake this time?

Well, it should be no surprise. Sgtfluffy has discovered the original picture of the meeting of Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Mike Wallace. However, don't let the image fool you! Reuters took the photo and with a little computerized magic created...
POOF! A candid image of Mike and Mahmoud!

I would explain how it was done, but I am about as effective at Photoshop as a cow doing calculus, but believe me, IT'S TRUE!
