Good Old Liberal Distortion

From ThinkProgress.org:
"$70,500.Average gross per screen for An Inconvenient Truth over the holiday weekend, the highest average in the nation."

The REAL statistics:
Inconvenient Truth
  • Played on only 4 Theaters in the entire country
  • Grossed a total of $281,330 for the entire weekend
  • I count that as a box office FLOP.

X-Men 3
  • Played on 3,690 Theaters nationwide
  • Netted $27,845 PER THEATER
  • Grossed over $102 MILLION DOLLARS.
  • The highest ever opening for a holiday weekend.

And one of the comments from the page:
"'I am a very educated individual with an MBA'
Ha, that’s an oxymoron. We fire people with MBAs all the time. A degree doesn’t make you smart."
You know, that's funny because Liberals everywhere try to pull off that they are smarter than everyone because they have those high degrees

HWC Baseball Recap: Week 8

I had a GREAT week against lawhawk's team, The PAW's. I can't complain too much about a 7-3-2 win, except that a 9-3-0 win would be better. So here comes the GOP and College Hot Wing Recap!

In case you are just joining us, here is how the stats are compiled:
The stats your team builds up are broken down into 12 groups. For batters, there's runs, homeruns, RBI's, Strike-outs, stolen bases, and batter's average. For Pitching, there's Wins, Saves, Strike-outs, Holds, ERA, and WHIP. Each one of those is a win, a loss, or a tie. So in a given week, you can have any combination of wins, losses, and ties that add up to 12.

So let's look at the scores!

Baghdad Bombers: 7
The PAW's 3 (2 ties)
I took all but one statistic in the pitching area, and the one I missed was a tie in holds. Offense wise was pretty good. I took 2, PAW's took 3, and we tied in the Batting Average at .228. I could have done better, but my sluggers were more sluggish than anything. I only hit 4 home runs the entire week!
Game MVP: Justin Verlander - 2 Wins, 1 CG, 12 K's and only one earned run in 16 innings.
Game Wash-Out: Jonny Gomes - .095 Batting Average, 5 fans, and only one Run with 3 RBI's

Robot's Eat Babies - 6
Repubs Lost In SD - 5 (one tie)
My brother is on a roll! Hey, it may only be 2 wins in a row, but arter 5 strait losses, it's lookin good! A pretty even match. Robots took 3 pitching stats and 3 batting stats, with the tie being in wins. Well, he's gone from no home runs vs. Wookie to no pitching vs. SD!
Game MVP: Nick Johnson - .375 Batting Average, 8 Runs, 2 Homers, with 3 RBI's. Not too shabby considering the rest of both teams.
Game Wash-Out: Kris Benson - 2 Starts, only 7.1 Innings, 10 Earned Runs, an ERA of 27.0, and a WHIP of 4.5.

RFTR - 6
Wookies Will Win - 5 (1 tie)
RFTR! The GIANT KILLER! And if any of you remember from HWC Football, this signaled a very bad turn for the worse for then top ranked RFTR. Talk about a trophy week for RFTR!
Game MVP: Jason Bay - Batting .500 with 7 Home runs (in one week), 11 Runs Scored, 15 RBI's, a stolen Base, and only 5 fans. As if you expected anyone else?
Game Wash-Out: Matt Clement - 2 starts, 7.2 Innings pitched, 14 Earned Runs for an ERA of 16.62 and a WHIP of 3.0

bRight & Early - 8
The right wing nuts - 4
C'mon Sssteve! bRight didn't play excellent, but he ended up kicking Sssteve's Nuts.
Game MVP: Hanley Ramirez - .273 Batting Average, with 7 runs, but what got me was the 4 swiped bases. (I told ya they didn't play great)
Game Wash-Out: Kevin Millwood - 1 Start, 5 Innings, 7 Earned Runs. Gave him an ERA of 12.6 with a 2.0 WHIP.

webcats - 6
Poca Dots Blog - 4 (2 ties)
Pretty much a Pithcer/Hitter duel. Cats took 4 batting and 2 pitching, and Don got his 4 in pitching. The ties were in Offensive K's and Stolen Bases.
Game MVP: Vladimir Guerrero - .455 Batting Average, 2 Home Runs, 7 RBI's and a Stolen Base)(This guy is always on the MVP for a reason!)
Game Wash-Out: Jamey Wright - In his start on the 28th at Colorado he pitched only 3.2 Innings, gave up 6 runs on 12 Hits, and 2 Walks. (ERA of 14.73 and WHIP of 3.27 for the game)

fmragtops' spewers - 7
The Glat-inators - 4 (1 tie)
All fm, across the board. Glat only took 3 of their stats in pitching, and stole Home Runs away from fm by 1, and the tie was in Saves at 2.
Game MVP: Kevin Youkilis - .357 Batting Average (8 walks not included) 12 times crossing the plate, and only 4 K's. He's a GOOD lead-off batter!
Game Wash-Out: Taylor Buchholz - A 3.2 inning, 9 earned run whooping in his only start this week. That gave him an ERA of just over 22 and a WHIP of 3.27

CZC Owns - 7
Gashouse Gorillas - 2 (3 ties)
3 Ties? Stolen Bases, Holds, and Saves were shared by these two. This was the Clash of the Tiny's, as after this matchup, Gorillas are 37-50-9, and CZC is 34-49-13. If it weren't for A. Rod my Game MVP would read, "We're Not Worthy!"
Game MVP: Alex Rodriguez - .435 Batting Average, 4 Home Runs, 11 RBI's and 8 trips across Home Plate.
Game Wash-Out: Gorillas' Bullpen - 2 of 3 guys with over 20 ERA's, and the other reliever didn't even play.

Akhtar The Divorcee - 7
Columbia Cardinals - 5
Columbia's team has suddenly been hit with a bad case of Injuritis. Talk about losing all of your stars.
Game MVP: Ryan Howard - Batted a .364 with 3 Knocks, 10 RBI's and 6 Runs Scored. Not too shabby
Game Wash-Out: Elmer Dessens - Elmer pulled a Jose Mesa and in 2 games took his ERA up from a 2.74 to a 5.25. He gave up 7 Earned Runs in 1 Inning (0.1 in one, and 0.2 in another) for an ERA of 81.00 and a WHIP of 12.0

So after that, here are the standings now for the Hot Wing Conspiracy. As you can see, I am in the pivital, but Deadly (would Play Wookie in the first round of the Playoffs) 6th place, along with this week's matchups.

Memorial Day Tribute

It's important to remember all of our past, present, and future service men in our nation's military. My family has a pretty rich heritage of military members.

Both of my grandfathers served in the military. On my dad's side in the Army, and on my mom's side in the Navy in World War 2.
My brother's dad was a marine in the Vietnam War. The college-ette's dad was a pilot in the Army I believe for many years, and it's always a pleasure to listen to him talk about his service (as well as political thoughts which we agree on quite a lot). Somewhere back in my lineage I've been told is Ulysses S. Grant, and if I'm not mistaken, on my brother's side is the great Robert E. Lee.
Aside from the past I have many friends who have joined the service, or are about to go into it. My best friend who I've known all but the first year or so of my entire life is on an Air Force Scholarship and will be serving in the blue after he graduates. One of the guys I play paintball with left last week to go to summer training for the Army. Another guy I used to play paintball with is going to the Air Force Academy in Colorado. A very close friend of mine just left for Air Force Basic Training on Tuesday, and even the lady who cuts my hair is tied to the military. Her son is in the Army stationed in Iraq.

Countless members of friends and family are in the nation's military fighting for the very thing that these people exercise to defame and insult our troops.

And those people are the very same ones who will be at the head of the line to say "Today, we remember our troops."

Jihadists In The News

No, I'm not talknig about CNN's latest coverage of a lone car bomb in Iraq.

I'm talking about a jihadist Muslim within the ranks of Reuters. Here's the scoop:

Inayat Bunglawala is a reporter for Reuters in London. He posted this article up onto his site. Little Green Footballs found the article, and posted a comment countering the article. Then at 3:23 AM Pacific Time, they recieved an e-mail from a fake address( with a real IP address of 192.165.213.18), saying "I look forward to the day when you pigs get your throat cut...."

LGF then did a simple IP address search, and discovered that the computer the e-mail was sent from was on the Reuters news network.

On top of that, some things that Inayat has said in the past:
"Mr Bunglawala's past comments include the allegation that the British media was "Zionist-controlled".
...
Five months before 9/11, Mr Bunglawala also circulated writings of Osama bin Laden, who he regarded as a "freedom fighter", to hundreds of Muslims in Britain." - Telegraph|News

Inayat claims it wasn't him, but the interesting thing is that when the e-mail was sent, his IP was accessing the website where the hate mail was sent to.

"I look forward to the day when you pigs get your throat cut...." Religion of Peace right?

Debunking More Liberal Lies

You've got to love the hard-line, right-wing, conservative editorial page of the Wall Street Journal. " Best of the Web" and "On The Editorial Page" have incredible information worthy of being read by everyone.

On today's Ed Page, Debunking these myths about Iraq:
Bush lied to get America into Iraq - FALSE
Bush pressured intelligence agencies to bias their findings - FALSE
No WMD's - FALSE
Promoting Democracy is a post-war rationalization - FALSE

It's good stuff. Read it! Liberal/Anti-Bush bias in the media has discovered what many great propagandists discovered. "If you tell the same lie long enough, people begin to believe it."

No War On Christianity MY ASS

"There's no war on Christianity." "It's just a myth." Ok, you might have been able to B.S. that before, but now, you're just full of crap.

Let's see, cases against Christians:
  • ACLU removing a small cross from the LA County symbol (The CITY OF ANGELS, done by the 9th Circuit Court)
  • ACLU opposing the 10 Commandments in multiple cases
  • Taking the phrase "under God" out of the pledge of Allegiance (Also, 9th Circuit Court)
  • Preventing the passing out of the UNITED STATES DECLARATION OF INDEPENDANCE because the word God was in the text
  • Changing the motto on our currency from "In God We Trust" to something else.
  • Removing a Nativity Scene from a school display, but leaving a Menorah, and other Non-Christian Religious symbols there
  • Threatening to fire employees who say Merry Christmas, and removing the term Easter from stores all over the nation.
Heck, a friend of mine wasn't even allowed to read her bible during free time at school, and now you're going to sit there and tell me that there is no war on Christians when the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals allows students in PUBLIC, STATE FUNDED SCHOOLS to say the words, "Praise be to Allah," and "In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful," and "Allah is the only true God and Muhammad is his messenger."

I would take this to the Supreme Court, ASAP. And if this doesn't get turned over IMMEDIATELY, I'm going to pitch a fit to have those judges removed. This is a DIRECT opposition to previous precedents, which courts use to make decisions. If Students are not allowed to say "Under God" because it sponsors a religion in a state funded building, then how the HELL does this not?

*UPDATE* Via Stop The ACLU:
"The 9th Circuit upheld her decision in a five-sentence ruling, saying only that the activities weren’t “overt religious exercises” that would raise concerns under the First Amendment prohibition of “establishment of religion.”"
Ahem..."Praise be to Allah," and "In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful," and "Allah is the only true God and Muhammad is his messenger."
That is not an overt religious excercise, but saying "One nation under God" is?

Sounds Like A True Nazi

I'm listening to the G. Gordon Liddy Show, and there's a conspiracy theorist (Rick) who is claiming that everyone is selling the country out to the JEWWWWWWWWWWS!...We went to Iraq for the JEEEEEEEWWWWWS. Bill O'rielly and Sean Hannity sold out to the JEEEWWWWWS! The media has sold out to the JEEEEWWWWWWS! Bush only gave cabinet jobs to JEEEEWWWWWWS! It's all the JEEWWWWWWS!

What an idiot. I think 1930's Germany is calling you Rick.

That Was Expected

I got smacked by Wookies last week. But I predicted it pretty well. I lost 7-4-1, and predicted that I would lose 8-4. However I feel like Jesse in "The Fast And The Furious" racing Johnny Chan for pink slips. I pushed the gas button too fast, took an early lead, but then as the week went on, I got burned. Oh well. Hopefully I will take out my anger on PAW's last week who are on a downward turn after a 10-2 loss to my brother's team, Robots Eat Babies.

I like what was said by fm in his full Week 7 Recap, "Nobody really played that poorly for the Bombers." I didn't play bad, I just didn't play as good as Wookies.

Here's the score card for the match.

And it didn't help that Cruz had a 121.00 ERA and a 12.00 WHIP for his first start in the week (that's 9 runs and 8 hits in 0.2 innings).

Well, check out fmragtops for a full recap of this week's games.

TO ALL SUPPORTING ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS

Read THIS...ALL OF IT!! Then look me IN THE FACE, and tell me illegal immigration has never hurt, or is good for the United States. And don't call them"Undocumented Workers" ANYMORE. That is pure BULLSH$%.

Myspace Bust

I created a myspace page for GOP and College to try and get a network together of blogs, but so far I've gotten 7 friends on Myspace. So if you have a myspace page for yourself, or your blog, stop by, and send a friend's request. And if you have a blog without a myspace page...well then, what are you waiting for? It has the possiblility to create a streamline of information between many of the top blogs in the 'sphere.

Imagine if people like Glenn Reynolds, Michelle Malkin (Oh...she's got one already), Flip, Ace, and many other big name bloggers were linked to a network, and with a single bulletin you could have a story break to those sites in a flash.

For example, Powerline and the Memo-gate deal. Let's say the Myspace network was set up. The editors at Poweline see the memos and post about the fact that they are faked. At the same time, they send a Myspace Bulletin about the fakes. Instantly, everyone on their friends list knows that the memos are faked. You're talking about a spread from one blog to 50, 100, or more of the highest traffic blogs on the 'sphere in the blink of an eye.

Myspace.com...it's free, it's easy, and it's FAST. Get one.

Fugly:

The short word for F'in Ugly.
Example:

Wow, John Kerry as a model..That's fugly.
Hat Tip: My sister

Malkin Makes A Point...

She comments in this article about an alien who allowed his work visa to expire 5 years prior to when he raped and murdered a woman who had hired a company to clean her back deck. Malkin points out that AP buried the fact that his visa had expired in the middle-end of the story with what seems like just a side note. Here is what the AP story states:
"Herrera, 30, a Guatemalan immigrant whose visa expired five years ago, had Mary Nagle's cell phone with him when he was arrested. He was convicted last month of rape and first-degree murder." (Malkin's emphasis)

However, I think Malkin missd something that I see as equally important.
"Herrera was working for a house-painting contractor and had been assigned to power-wash the Nagles' backyard deck. He testified that he had partied on beer and cocaine the night before and did not remember entering the house or killing the woman. However, he said, he did recall waking up next to her bloody body." (My emphasis)
Not olny had this man become an illegal alien 5 years before the rape and murder, but he was involved in some serious drug abuse. It is a known fact that many of the illegal narcotics in the United States come from Mexico, and other Central/South American Countries. And they are brought here by people who sneak...no, they don't really even have to sneak, they just WALK across the United States Border.

*Note the first picture: " Alex and his sister tried to migrate to the US after hurricane Mitch destroyed their home. They left Honduras, with no money, trying to cross Mexico on a cargo train. The police caught them and deported them to Guatemala.Tapachula, Mexico,1999" So, you get deported for trying to get INTO Mexico illegally, but the Mexican government HELPS illegal immigration into the United States*

The border needs to be secured, and the country needs to be demagnetized to illegal aliens.

Mmm Power

Well, who wants to see some raw horse power? How about 7,000? Have at it!

I had great seats for the Southern Nationals in Atlanta, and there was some amazing racing. However, Sunday was cool and cloudy, which allowed for The Sarge to run a 4.448 second pass and went through the speed trap at 331.28 miles per hour. However, I didn't get to see the pass because I was driving home. However, God Bless NHRA.com for posting it here. (It doesn't play for me, but it might for you.)

And for those of you wondering, Camera was (and still is) a Panasonic DMC-FZ4.

INTERVIEW!!!

Woohoo! I feel special! I get to be interviewed by ALL OF YOU (Via Basil) in the upcoming future. So PLEASE!!!! Send Basil an e-mail, basil.interviews@gmail.com with the subject of Questions for GOP and College.

The Difference

One of the differences between Radical (or even some moderate) Musilms and Christians is in how they react to blasphemy, and how the news reports on the reaction. We all know about the Islamic Cartoons that caused an uproar in the Middle East and Europe. In case you've forgotten, or the MSM has made you think that the people who published the cartoons are the evil ones, let's see some of the reactions from the middle east, shall we?

Not only did the Muslims protest, they descended into violence and threats of murder and suicide bombings of western countries, and the rest of the world bowed down to them in fear.
And when you try to defend the editors, they say, "Those images are offensive and Blasphemous. They shouldn't have been published. We need to apologize to them...blah blah blah."

But what happens when Christians are offended? The Da Vinci Code is a perfect example. The people are outraged (minus the violence and protests) but the reactions from liberals and the media are incredibly differnet. Read this:
"The other element that has surprised me has been the outrage that many people feel about the book. The pope is not a fan of the book and he's not going to be a cheerleader for the movie. Other religious groups are equally aghast. When I was in Indianapolis, I watched a late-night TV preacher demonstrate point by point how inaccurate the book was. Of course, it's inaccurate — it's fiction!
And that's what I don't get. Don't all of those who feel that it's sacrilegious know it's a novel? It's just a story. A guy made it up. It's pretend. Nobody is saying this is a true story.
When religious people in the Middle East condemn a work of art, a cartoon, or a piece of fiction, we label them irrational extremists. How different has some of the reaction to the fictional Da Vinci Code been?
And come on, how offensive do they really think a movie from Tom Hanks and Ron Howard is going to be? "

Have you been living under a stone? Why not label them irrational extremists? If I'm not mistaken, there haven't been threats to hang/burn/behead/blow up Dan Brown, Ron Howard, Tom Hanks, or anyone else involved in the movie. The worst that Christians have done is threaten to not see the movie. And we are supposed to take the insults and laugh them off while the radical (and in my opinion crazy) Muslims are damn near applauded for threats of violence? And how about when a cartoon is "accidentally" published showing Jesus performing oral sex on a pig is published? Are we supposed to just bend over and take it? Well here, how about if the cartoon had looked like this? How would the world have reacted to this?

HAHAHAHA!

From Sssteve:
"Okay, now that is out of the way. Barry Bonds is the first baseball player to try for mediocrity. He had the audacity to ask MLB if they were going to stop the game and celebrate him passing Babe Ruth on the All time Homerun list. WITW? (that is the sanctified way of saying WT*? heh! stands for "what in the world"). Barry, let me get this straight, you want to stop the game and celebrate when you pass the guy that is in second place?!! What are you thinking, have you taken so much of the juice that it has infected your brain that much! I'll tell you what, from now on in Nascar, when the race is over we can send the first place driver to the winners circle, then send the 2nd place driver to the Not the Winners circle. How about that! Maybe we could give the horse that comes in 2nd in the Kentucky Derby a horseshoe of pansies! Instead of Roses like the winner! Or maybe we could, oh I don't know, have people just run for the Vice President of the US instead of President! What an idiot!"

Hahahaha! Great one.

This Might Be Ugly

This week I play Wookies Will Win in the HWC Baseball League. This is a team whose worst week was versus Akhtar The Divorcee in week 3 ( a 5-5 tie). His average week is an 8-4 win, and with Pujols as one of his starters, about all I can hope to do is contain him.

I had a good week against Sssteve, winning 8-4, and bumping over .500, and one spot to 7th. However my offense has been absolutely offensive...smelling that is. That week I had 4 guys under the Mendoza line, and a team average for the week of .247. Yuck. One thing though: It looks like my strategy of consistant starters and a platoon of pitching has given me an edge. I took all but one stat in pitching, and 3 in batting, despite my horrible week.

As a preview to this week, I'm thinking that I will take most of the pitching stats, and Wookies will more than likely walk all over me in batting. I'm guessing my 8-4 win this week will be erased by an 8-4 loss this coming week, unless Wookie gets the DL Flu.

Cake or Death has the weekly recap this week.

Paintball Friday

It's time again for I, GOP and College, to show off some guns.

This gun is the First endeavor Paintball "Quest." This is a very nice gun to me for one purpose: The trigger. The shape of the trigger follows exactly how my fingers walk when I am trying to shoot as fast as possible. It is harder for me to click off rounds extrememly fast with a blade trigger since I have to make more of an effort to click the bottom part of the trigger piece. So instead of (with this gun) moving my middle finger a whole 1/8th or 1/4 of an inch, if has to move 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch, costing valuable time that could be used clicking the trigger again.

But other than that, the gun looks great, and performs well according to PB Review.

A Representative Government No More

Zell Miller wrote the book, "A National Party No More" about the Democratic Party and how they had over the decades faded away from one ideology, and picked up their current Anti-Christian Values, Pro-Choice, Pro-Socialism stance.

Well, I need to start a book called "A Representative Government No More."
  • The government bows down to the 8% of people who don't believe in God.
  • The government panders to the 12 million illegal aliens, and is going to make them full citizens, when 65% of the population doesn't want it.
  • The government sides with the villiage idiots who were drinking under age, speeding, and not wearing their seat belts when their dad sued Ford for not making stronger windows.
  • The government sides with the few people in California who believe that a parent should not know if their 15 year old child had an abortion. (BTW, PLEASE visit here to see who supports Prop. 73)
Seriously, the government has become so concerned with the feelings of a few, that it has forgotten the rights of the majority.

Is It Just Me?

Or did Albert Pujols take his home run pose lessons from Mark McGuire?

Either way, as long as the Cards keep winning, they'll be in the post season agian, and I will be extremely happy.

You Know NASCAR Is Big When...

You know NASCAR is big when a rained out race has more coverage than the NFL Draft, the Final round of a PGA Tournament, The NHL Playoffs, and 2 NBA Playoff games.

NASCAR drew 4.5 million viewers with their coverage at the rained out Aaron's 499 on Sunday April 30th. Not only is that awesome, but what else is great, is that this was the second time that a rained out NASCAR Nextel Cup Race was the highest rated sport event of the weekend.

That reminds me. I have some great pictures from the Atlanta Dragway from the Summit Racing Equipment Southern Nationals. It was great fun, and I'm glad I got to watch the big 7,000 horsepower dragsters fly down the track at over 300 miles per hour. If you're lucky, I may put some pictures on the page.

HWC Baseball Week 5 Recap

Woohoo! The Hot Wing Conspiracy Recap is back at GOP and College this week, and I'm diggin it!

So before I go into the scores, I will start with the customary explination of scoring.

And now, on to the matchups!

Baghdad Bombers: 6
webcats: 6
What the crap! I just can't seem to get away from ties! This is the second week in a row that I have tied, 6-6. Each week I go into Sunday night up like 8-3 or so, and then choke like The Yankees. Well, maybe not that bad. At least I didn't actually lose. The game was a pitcher/batter game. I took 4 batting stats, and cats took 4 pitching stats. They might be Smelly Cats...but they do have claws.
Game MVP: Vladimir Guerrero - 2 HR's, 8 RBI's, and a .385 Batting Average
Game Wash-out: Sergio Mitre - A loss, 12.46 ERA, 3.00 Whip from 11 Hits, a home run, and 6 runs allowed in just 4.1 innings. (Any takers? He's gonna be on the cut list in 3...2...1...)

The Right Wing Nuts: 9
Robots Eat Babies: 2
Wow, what a blow out. And as my bud Wes here said, "Tell your brother that most people with as many Drop/Adds as him are in the top of the ranks." Ouch. As he guessed, The Man took saves, and actually got the most Strikeouts, but everything else was all Ssssteve. Wow and 11 home runs for the Nuts? Talk about juicing. Hey Sssteve...you know what they say steroids do down there right?
Game MVP: Chad Tracy - 3 HR's, 9 RBI's,
Game Wash-out: Kris Benson - 18.69 ERA, 2.77 WHIP from 8 Hits, 4 Walks, and 9 Runs in all of 4.1 Innings...Ouch.

RFTR: 3
bRight & Early: 9
Wow, bRight has shed his HWC Football slump and kicked some tail this week. And of the 3 stats RFTR won, (HR's, Stolen Bases, and Saves) saves was the only stat he won by more than 1.
Game MVP: Johan Santana - 2 games, 2 wins, 14 Innings, 20 K's, only 3 runs and 10 hits. That made for a 1.93 ERA, and a 0.97 WHIP.
Game Wash-out(s): Griffey Jr, and Ray Durham for being starters...WHILE ON THE DISABLED LIST!

fmragtops' spewers: 3
Wookies Will Win: 7
As if this wasn't expected. At least Wookies let FM have some in the wins column. Pretty much a win on both sides of the field for Wookies.
Game MVP: Tom Gordon (Closer) - 4 games, 4 innings, 0 Hits, 0 Walks, 0 Runs, 4 Saves. In 15 games he has 14.2 innings, 4 hits, and only one run. He also has 10 saves.
Game Wash-out: Ervin Santana - 4.0 Innings, 9 hits, 4 walks and 6 runs making for an ERA of 13.5, and a WHIP of 3.25.

CZC Owns: 4
The PAWs: 7
Pitcher/Hitter game. PAW's took all 6 pitching stats, and CZC got his 4 in batting.
Game MVP(s): Travis Hafner - 4 HR's, 7 Runs, 13 RBI's, and a .320 Batting Average
Javier Vazquez - 2 games, 2 wins, 13 Strikeouts, and only a 1.32 ERA and 0.95 WHIP in 13.2 innings
Game Wash-out: Ben Sheets - 1 game (started), 2.1 innings, 7 runs on 9 hits, an ERA of 27.00 and a WHIP of 3.86.

Akhtar the Divorcee: 6
Repubs lost in SD: 4
A very mixed battle with Akhtar taking most of the batting (4 of 6), and the pitching was split 2-2-2 ties
Game MVP: Shawn Green - 6 Runs, 2 HR's 5 RBI's, 2 stolen bases, a .462 Batting average, and NO STRIKEOUTS. That means that every time he steped up to the plate, he at least put the bat on the ball.
Game Wash-out: Jeromy Burnitz - 1/22 (a 2 run home run), .045 Batting average, and 8 strikeouts.

Columbia Cardinals: 6
The Glat-inators: 5
This match was about as even as you can get with the stats being split 3-3 in pitching, and 3-2-1 tie in batting for stolen bases.
Game MVP: Carlos Beltran - 7 Runs, 4 HR's, 5 RBI's, and 2 stolen bases with a .296 Batting Average.
Game Wash-out: Matt Cain - 1 Game, 4 Innings, 6 Earned runs, 3 Walks, 9 hits, and 4 of those 9 hits were Home Runs. This guy must be like hitting off of a tee!

Poca Dots Blog: 4
Gashouse Gorillas: 7
WYATT WON!! WYATT WON!!! I guess changing out your players more often than a baby's diaper doesn't pay off after all. Both teams though have some monster hitters. Don had 2 guys with 4 home runs, and Wyatt had 2 with 3
Game MVP: Chase Utley - 9 Runs, 8 RBI's, 3 HR's, and a stolen base with a Batting Average of .483! And Cain's 4 dingers that he let go? Utley had 2 of them.
Game Wash-out: Odalis Perez - 1 Game, 4.1 Innings, 3 Walks, 8 Hits (2 being Home Runs), and 7 Runs, making for an ERA of 14.54 and a WHIP of 2.54.

So with that here are the standings, as well as this week's matchups!

Another Life Imitates Hollywood - GOP and College Style

Peter Griffin:
Hometown: Quahog, Rhode Island
Age: Somewhere over 42
Gender: Male
Height: 5'-10"
Weight: 380 lbs
DOC: Pawtucket Patriot Ale
Favorite Band: KISS
Favorite Teams: Anything Boston
Hated Teams: All New York Teams
Quote: "Hey Brian, there's a message in my Alphabits. It says "OOOOOOOOOO"..."

The REAL Peter Griffin?
Actually, the name underneath is a hoax, but the kid does exist (Justin Blair Spaeth who goes to Notre Dame Highschool), and it's still funny.

I believe it's said best with:
"Heh heh heh heh heh heh heh heh."

No Kennedy DWI?

"The crime of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, including prescription drugs. Complete intoxication is not required; the level of alcohol or drugs in the driver's body must simply be enough to prevent him from thinking clearly or driving safely. State laws specify the levels of blood alcohol content at which a person is presumed to be under the influence. Also called driving while intoxicated (DWI and drunk driving)." - nolo.com

“Last Tuesday, the Attending Physician of the United States Congress treated me for Gastroenteritis,” a stomach illness. According to Kennedy, the attending physician prescribed Phenergan, an anti-nausea medication, which in addition to treating gastroenteritis, “I now know [it] can cause drowsiness and sedation.” “Following the last series of votes Wednesday evening, I returned to my home on Capitol Hill and took the prescribed amount of Phenergan and Ambien, which was also prescribed by the Attending Physician some time ago and I occasionally take to fall asleep. Some time around 2:45am, I drove the few blocks to the Capitol Complex believing I needed to vote." - Wonkette

So illegal immigrants can break the law by illegally setting up residence and jobs, and a Kennedy can drive intoxicated without getting a DWI? What would they allow me to get away with?

That's right...NOTHING. This is coming from the guy that got a TICKET as I was driving home to celebrate my 21st birthday back in September, perfectly sober and with my designated driver for the night. What a crock.

Now There's An Idea

I heard this idea, and I'm surprised that no one has thought of this before. Remember the Gadsen Flag? Well, if you don't let me refresh your mind.
This was the original flag for the United States after we declared our independance from Britian, and it is still our motto today. We used it after we were attacked by terrorists on 9/11, and dangit, we better use it against all of the illegal immigrants who feel like they can just walk in here and start pushing this country around.

You left Mexico because the living conditions were so terrible, then when you ILLEGALLY get here, you complain about how you have no citizenship rights. Let me put it to you this way,

LA INMIGRACION ILEGAL ES ILEGAL!
LA INMIGRACION SIN DOCUMENTAR ES ILEGAL!
ELLOS NO ERES UNOS CIUDADANOS!
ELLOS ERES ILEGAL!

Moussaoui To Rot Underground

He's going to rot in his prison cell for the rest of his life. Here's the scoop on how he will be spending the rest of his life:
  • He will be underground in a tiny cell.
  • He will be in Solitary Confinement FOR LIFE
  • He will only see the light of day for one hour a day for excercise.
  • He will have no social interaction, except with his therapist.
  • And it will stay that way until the day that he dies.

You know, it'd be great if this piece of slime has a near death experience and finds out that he and all of his Jihadi friends are going strait to Hell.

HWC Week 4 Recap

GOP and the City has the Week 4 Recap of the Hot Wing Conspiracy Baseball League. I was actually pretty upset at the score for my game this week. Even though after my first two weeks of losing, with a great week last week, I'm upset because even though I was up I believe 8-3 Sunday morning, I could only muster up a 6-6 tie for the week. Well, I'm now up to 8th in the standings, so I am continuing my climb to the playoffs. I have my eyes set on the post season!

Also, I like the addition of the MVP stat for the Weekly recap. I think I will add it when I do the recap for week 5.

One thing though that The Man left out are the matchups for this week, but fear not! I have them here!

If Any Woman Deserves To Be President...

It's this woman. Marsha Blackburn was a long time member of the Tennessee State Government, but she has jumped up to the United States House of Representatives. The only disappointment I have is that she isn't in MY district so that I could have the pride of voting for her in Congress. Look at what she (as well as Jack Kingston) has to say to Julie Myers, Assistant Secretary of ICE(via Wizbang!):
Dear Ms. Myers,
As you are aware, pro-illegal immigration rallies are taking place throughout the United States today. Those organizing the rallies have encouraged illegal aliens to refrain from going to work as a sign of protest.
Too often, we presume that fault lies with the illegal migrant worker, but we need to recognize that the employer broke the law by hiring the illegal alien. We believe the Federal government has an obligation to enforce the nation's immigration laws and must actively investigate any and all instances where it is apparent industries have knowingly and willingly hired those who entered this country illegally.
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) should pursue the multiple reports in the news media today regarding companies which have been forced to halt operations because large numbers of their employees appear to be in the United States illegally and are participating in the protest rallies.
ICE has an obligation to use this public information to enforce immigration laws. We respectfully request that you look into this matter and report back to us on your findings.

Good stuff. I've had the pleasure of attending some of her Christmas parties and actually getting to meet her, and talk with her. She is an amazing woman who knows that raising taxes doesn't bring in more money, a larger government is a worse government, and that ILLEGAL IMIGRATION IS ILLEGAL!

My Stuff

OK, so last week I showed what I would like to have, and now I'm going to show you what I DO have.

This is my Syindicate Misfit. I haven't done anything to the gun itself, but I have a Halo TSA (Frontman), an Air America 68 ci/4500psi air tank with a Dye Rhino II cover, and a 14" one piece JT USA barrel.

I was planning on using a small bit of money from my job to pay for things like a new barrel, a larger drop forward, and if I could find it a new, faster trigger. But considering the fact that since I've been working I've only played a handful of times (mostly due to the lack of a field, the cold, and seeing the College-ette). Also, I have been debating just caving, and getting a Smart Parts Ion, or since they're so cheap, a Nerve. But I will go into detail about those later.

And just for kicks...here's a picture of me sliding with my gun. This picture was about a year before the picture of just the gun. I was prepping for the tournament in Madison, GA, and was using a friend's tank, but everything else one the gun was mine.

Mmm..and Jimmy's got a Desert Eagle...or as us Counter-Strike nerds know it...The Deagle. Tasty.

And They Say Conservatives Are Violent Nazis

"This is another example of the ratchet effect of militant Muslim demands. Having established that images of Mohammed can't be displayed, they move on to demanding 'respect' for their flags. Once this is established, they will demand further symbolic concessions. Steadily, bit by bit, they are creating an environment where they can dictate their terms with violent threats, all in the name of 'respect' or even 'civility'. Every small concession to these demands represents an erosion of the rule of law. " - National Review Online

Check This Out...

May 1, 2006 has been declared "A day without Immigrants" (they're planning a nationwide no-work, no purchases and no-school boycott in the hopes of pressuring congress to give the illegals amnesty)!! In order to show that LEGAL Americans want secure borders and NO amnesty, we are advocating that on May 5, 2006, in 'celebration' of Cinco de Mayo Day, that ALL Americans and LEGAL citizens simply make NO purchases. Do your shopping on May 1 instead to offset any impact that the illegals might have. Let's see who more drastically effects the economy for one day and sends the most clear message to congress.

Interesting.
