Where Have They Gone?

I was recently assigned to do a "Precision Guided Humor Assignment" from The Alliance to make up a review of Sheehan's new book. Instead of trolling for hours to go on and on about how horrible the book was, and how all it did was restate the same "Bush is evil," "Bush lied," and other tired excuses she gave, I just took other people's reviews. And then, those reviews started disappearing. Currently the "oldest" one star review is dated Nov. 29th...I posted my "review" on the 24th. Alternately, the 5 star ratings have all stayed.

Once again, your snooping GOP and College has uncovered a liberal's failed attempts at covering their tracks.
This is a review from J. L. Larsen dated November 20th, 2005
"I was appalled at the shallow, stupid, predictable, and libelous slop written by the first several reviewers of this book. They certainly have all of the right wing talking points down; after all, their only 'defense' is to smear those who disagree with them. They can't argue on the facts, they aren't open to any type of reasonable discussion. They just regurgitate more Bush lies. Quit attacking Ms. Sheehan and other patriotic Americans who are questioning this war of lies and talk about the issues."

HOWEVER, as you can see, all the "FIRST" entries were 5 star entries, supporting the book. The "first 1 star review" was not until Nov. 29th written by L. White saying,
"I think we've all watched enough news coverage to have witnessed Cindy Sheehan's transformation from grieving mother to tool of leftist groups. It is a shame that so many people have no problem with this poor woman being taken advantage of by people for their own interests. They provide her with PR people who don't have her best interest in mind and have no problem with ordinary Americans coming to see her as less of a grieving mother and more of an unstable radical. Even sadder is how Amazon removes any poor reviews and leaves up reviews by people stating they haven't even read the book."

Question for Amazon, If the book is so good, why are you having to cut the price 32% 2 weeks after it's release? Mark another company up on the BUSTED list.

*Update* There had been as many as ten 1 star reviews, and I thought that Amazon had stopped blooming the reviews of the book, but they again started to delete them. However they did wise up slightly, leaving the first bad review there, but they left their tell-tale hate post up that I mentioned above. I guess the books rating got too low, so they had to boost it back up. It was down to 4 stars last night and was falling fast.

And look at another review that I just discovered, from a kid that, since it was a 5 star review, they kept it up.

"Look out Cindy. The Freepers are here. , November 28, 2005
A Kid's Review
Look at all the one-star reviews (not that they bothered to read the book) and vicious attacks on a war mom. Right wingers are real tough guys.
I give it 5 just to negate the Freepers in action. They'll spend time to give a negative book review.
I wonder if they bothered to devote half as much time to supporting our troops with letters/packages, etc."

Blogger Victory #2

After winning a major victory before the election with the "Memogate" scandal, bloggers have had another victory in pressuring Moveon.org to give up on their latest"Anti-Bush" Ad that was run on CNN. CNS reports that the ad has been officially pulled due to criticism about the ad.

So remember, if you're going to try to cheat people into thinking the way you want them to, don't hire a liberal.

Hat Tip: GOP and the City

*Update* Brit Hume reportedly used one of the side by side analysis used by GOP and College and GOP and the City in tonight's "Special Report." Fox New's website also has the story covered.

"Liberal activists at Moveon.org have yanked an anti-war ad blasting the administration for leaving U.S. troops in Iraq over the holidays after the Pentagon pointed out it used British soldiers to represent Americans in Iraq. The picture appeared as the ad's narrator says, "A hundred and fifty thousand American men and women are stuck in Iraq."

But a Pentagon spokesman tells Cybercast News that American men and women wear darker fatigues with a different pattern and don't have shorts as part of their combat uniforms. After trying to fix the error by doctoring the original photo to darken the uniforms and put long pants on the soldier in shorts MoveOn.org removed the ad from its Web site."

*Update 2*
Blinq went even farther and called a spokesman for Moveon:
"Blinq called a MoveOn spokesman who acknowledged the soldiers in the picture were British. Said the advertising firm grabbed a picture that didn't specify the soldiers' nationality. Wouldn't comment about the addition of long pants."

Boo-Hoo Moonbat

Cindy Sheehan is pouting that AP photographers made her book signing in Crawford, TX look like a flop. Well, no offence, but they didn't HAVE to try. In a line from Editor and Publisher,
"The Washington Post, which carried Evan Vucci's AP photo, noted that at a protest the same day Sheehan had addressed a crowd of only about 100. "In the morning," the Post observed, "Sheehan signed copies of her new book, being published this week, for an even smaller crowd," although it cited bad weather as a possible factor."

When faced with the bitter fact that America just doesn't want to hear her spit her "Bush is stupid" vile anymore, who did she blame? Of course not herself.
"But in a statement today, Sheehan accused "right-wing" sites of "spreading a false story that nobody bought my book at Camp Casey on Saturday. That is not true, I sold all 100 copies and got writer's cramp signing them. Photos were taken of me before the people got in line to have me sign the book. We made $2000 for the peace house.""

When asked about the photo, even the AP photographer said that no one really showed up.
"At the time the photos were taken 'maybe 5 people had come in,' Vucci says, and Sheehan was waiting for more to stop by, which they did individually as well as in very small groups. Therefore the wording of the caption is accurate in that Sheehan was waiting for people to show up at her signing."

This reminds me of a protest that Vietnam Vets for Truth held on the lawn of the Capitol Building. The news didn't cover it much at all, even though the crowd was easily over 1000. Mainly the MSM focused on the few Kerry supporters, and all the pictures shown of supporters were made to look as though the event was a bust.

Sorry Sheehan, but your book-signing WAS a bust.

While you're here, why not go and read some reviews of the Cindy Sheehan book, either on The Alliance, or some from Amazon. Apparently anyone can read this book since it's ravings are on the level of a 10 year old.

Eyes Of a Hawk

My brother has a post up about how the group Moveon.org posted a picture of "American" soldiers standing in line in Iraq waiting to be served a hot meal, when in actuality, the soldiers were British chaps waiting on a meal. The video clearly shows the soldiers having on shorts. Later, when shown the pictures, a U.S. Army General had this to say about the soldiers.

" I just got back from my third deployment from Iraq on Friday, and I happened to be at the dentist and saw a completely offensive ad from the idiots at MoveOn.org this morning. Anyway, it is a Bush-bashing ad that pretends to be arguing for American soldiers families as they will miss the holidays and it shows turkey and crying wives and blames Bush for it all. Here is the crucial part of the ad that I would like to bring to your attention. As they pretend to argue on my behalf, they show a group of soldiers standing around a table in the Middle East...

These are not your normal everyday U.S. soldiers though. If you look at the frame they are actually British soldiers. One is in shorts (we don't have shorts as a normal combat uniform) and the others are all clearly wearing British pattern fatigues. So, my point is that these [turkeys] pretend to argue on my behalf and bash the president in the name of my crying wife, and they don't even know what an American soldier looks like! Anyway, it really [ticked] me off."

I posted a comment about the ordeal since I noticed something. The photo on the ad was different than the photo on the webpage. The shmucks at Moveon had the nerve to photoshop the picture to make it look like it was American soldiers. Here were my words.

"
Moveon.org even decided to photoshop their picture of the troops to make them look like US Army fatigues. In the video the guy is clearly wearing shorts, but on the Moveon.org page (like the photo you've got) it's the same people, but the guy with shorts miraculously has US pattern pants."

See for yourself.

How bout them apples?

*Updates*
9:30AM GOP and the City has a new Photoshop entry, and Bad Example has a full analysis of the bad photoshopping done by Moveon, as well as some blown up images to show the full affect.

*UPDATE* Look at who else has been busted with not-so-undercover liberal biased at Amazon.com

Since I'm nice

I meant to post this earlier so that people visiting the site could see it, but as you know I have a "famous" brother, The Man, from GOP and the City. Well his birthday is today, so go and give him a birthday shout-out.

Happy birthday bro.

Vietnam...Reversed

That's what Glenn Reynolds has said over at InstaPundit. And I agree. The Iraq war is quite literally Vietnam reversed. In Vietnam, the politicians, media, and high officials said that the war was going great...And then the soldiers got home, and they started telling the true stories of the war.

Now, the Media, Liberals, and Democrats are saying that the war is going terribly...And then the soldiers come home, and they tell their true stories of the war. The fact that Iraq has made amazing leaps and bounds since Saddam was taken out of power.

So you don’t have to wait for the official version of what’s going on, or for reporters on the scene to get their stories to the folks back home. The troops send email, or pick up the phone, sometimes a cell phone, and call. This has caused a lot of confusion, because the media reports of what’s happening are often at odds with what the troops are reporting. This has been particularly confusing in a year where there’s a presidential election race going on. The Democrats decided to attack the way the war on terror, and particularly the actions in Iraq, was being fought. Part of that approach involved making the situation at the front sound really, really bad. But the troops over there seemed to be reporting a different war. And when troops came home, they were amazed at what they saw in the newspapers and electronic media. Politics and reality don’t mix. - Strategy Page

The fact is that people are able to have closer connections to troops now than simple letters to and from home. This can trump the fact that the media is the "source" of wartime information. And even though people agree that the Democratic strategy of "Make America Look Bad" is hurting morale overseas, Dems continue to do it anyways. And the "Great majority of people who want US troops pulled out now" is only 16%, which is actually many times greater than the actual support of the same thing in Congress. (Read the comments, and the Roll Call Vote is here)

The war is going good. All you have to do is cut through the liberal's crap.

Oh, That's Right

I had almost forgotten about this little tidbit I found at Shoot a Liberal. PETA has decided that the best way to gain attention is to pass out fliers saying "Your daddy kills animals," or one that shows a woman butchering a rabbit that says "Your Mommy Kills Animals." And where do they pass these out? At the doors to a theater showing The Nutcracker Ballet. Who comes up with that as a marketing scheme? Let's look at the successful marketing ideas of the past, like Wal-Mart with the little smiley face that slashes prices, McDonald's with Ronald McDonald and Happy Meals, and Kroger and the Kroger Card. Now let's look at PETA's tactic...fear and violence. Hmm...sounds like a Islam-Extremist/Jihadist idea to me. I wonder if PETA's head honcho's have been eating too much Tofurkey this November.

Shoot a Liberal wants to get their tax exempt status revoked for being linked with terrorist groups, but I say heck, close them down and arrest the top people for doing such.

Here's an idea I had about this situation. Since PETA just loves every animal there is on earth, and I had an enjoyable time living in an apartment filled with Brown Recluse spiders, why not set a few of them free throughout their houses. See their philosophy is to do what the animal wants, and I figure, well, why not let the spiders get all nested into their new cozy environment. Let's see how long it takes the psycho activists to either 1) remove the spiders and have them put back outside, or 2) they go nuts and kill them all. Either way it goes completely against their philosophy, and teaches them a good lesson. Animals die in the world, it's normal for something to die when it doesn't want to.

Moonbat Sheehan Has A Book?

Write a review of Cindy Sheehan's "book"

"With this book, Ms. Sheehan confirms that her literary skills are as poor as her verbal skills, if not worse. Having been subjected to her self-centered grade school rants in front of any camera she can find, we're now confronted with the same inarticulate vitriol in print.

The book is a "cleaned up" version of what we've already heard from her, designed to do what Ms. Sheehan does best...focus attention on herself. In this context, she shies away from re-stating or explaining her often anti-Semitic, anti-American, and frequently downright loony claims of the past. However, having heard those claims, the book would be much more interesting and informative if she'd used it to defend them. That she doesn't is hardly surprising since she has consistently avoided all opportunites to debate anybody who may disagree with her. As in the past, she simply relies on some sort of assumed moral ascendancy to give her credibility. Ms.

Sheehan once said "When they came and told me that my wonderful gentle sweet son was killed, I collapsed on the floor and I screamed. I'm sure I did permanent damage to either my brain or my heart." With this book, as with her previous staements, she goes a long way to proving which it was."

"If there were negative stars, this is one book that deserves it!! This book is nothing but predictable. If you're looking to read it I can sum it up in an intelligible way! "George Bush KILLED my son." "George Bush LIED." "George Bush is EVIL." The book is so outrageous that I have to laugh over it! There is no shred of evidence whatsoever to support her erroneous statements. She is starting to sound like an American Bin Laden..yes that's right. Right after the troops moved into New Orleans after Katrina she was calling them to pull out!! "George Bush needs to stop talking, admit the mistakes of his all around failed administration, pull our troops out of occupied New Orleans and Iraq, and excuse his self from power." Funny, isn't that what these Islamo Fascists are saying? Pull out of the Holy Land?"

I'm sorry, this was too funny to try to make something up. Check out the reviews people have written at Amazon.com

GOP and College's In Depth Look

HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!

Well, I'm a day late on my looking at the matchups, but that's nothing to worry about.

First off, for the 3rd time this season, The Clash Of The Titans. The number one and two teams are going head to head. The Vegas lines say I'm up by 6, and I think that'll be about right. However the 72-66 that it's predicting I think is slightly short. Both of the teams have too many monsters on the squad to have a game below 80 or 85 points. However much of this game will be determined by how well the Giants can stop Seattle's run game. I'm going to stick with the 6 point win for me, 88-82.

Blue Balls and Muse looks like it's set to be close. Both teams have okay matchups, but it doesn't look like either team will have players with over 10 points. I think Blue Balls will take this one, 65-62.

bRight vs. RFTR, heh, even though RFTR has lost 4 in a row and has been on about as bad of a streak as Blue Balls back in weeks 4-7, Blue balls kept from losing 5 in a row, and even thoguh he's only averaging just over 30 points in his last 3 games, I think this matchup is too easy for RFTR to lose 5 in a row. RFTR takes home a victory 52-45.

Gunfighters and Giants. See, this is what happens when you have nothing but IR people as your backups. Giants has been blasted with injuries and has 2 injured players. That's going to be their demise since Gunfighters has a very healthy roster. I think Gunfighters have got it, 75-55.

Shortbus vs webcats, here's a clash of the little men. If either of these teams score 60 I would be amazed. To me it looks like webcat's possible injuries help to even out the playing field with the rebounding Shortbus, but the best I can see this game is a tie at 55.

Also, congratulations to my brother, aka, The Man for getting his 100,000th hit

It Wasn't Intentional?

That's not what Real Teen is saying. They've discovered that U.S Newswire discovered the partisan truth about CNN's big X over VP Dick Cheney's head, at 4:30 PM Tuesday Afternoon.

"When the founders of the company, Preska Thomas and Kevin Finn, made contact with the network, to their surprise they were bullied and harassed in the same way by the Headline News desk. Callers were repeatedly told by CNN, "Tell the President and Vice-President Dick Cheney to stop lying." Team Hollywood's conversation with the newsdesk was recorded. When the tape is played back, amongst political statements being made by the network were the words that the "X" was intentional, as an act of free speech by CNN." U.S. Newswire

This is coming from a group of people who are supposed to be "non-partisan reporters" I've said it before, and I'll say it again. Leftists ≠ Free Speech

Other Reactions:
YAHOO! News and Reuters were convinced by CNexplanationation" about the incident, as late as 8:45AM CST today.
CNN avoids the subject altogether
Fox News at least links to the web pages that have coverage
New York Times turns a blind eye to the subject

Amazing What Liberals "Forget" to tell you

*UPDATE* I'm moving this post back up top since I feel like it deserves to be recognized again thanks to a post I found over at Aarons.cc Here's a little snippet of just a few things he uncovered.

Sen. Kerry: “If You Don’t Believe … Saddam Hussein Is A Threat With Nuclear Weapons, Then You Shouldn’t Vote For Me.” (Ronald Brownstein, “On Iraq, Kerry Appears Either Torn Or Shrewd,” Los Angeles Times, 1/31/03)

Sen. Clinton: “In The Four Years Since The Inspectors, Intelligence Reports Show That Saddam Hussein Has Worked To Rebuild His Chemical And Biological Weapons Stock, His Missile Delivery Capability, And His Nuclear Program. … It Is Clear, However, That If Left Unchecked, Saddam Hussein Will Continue To Increase His Capability To Wage Biological And Chemical Warfare And Will Keep Trying To Develop Nuclear Weapons.” (Sen. Hillary Clinton, Congressional Record, 10/10/02, p. S10288)

Feingold: “With Regard To Iraq, I Agree, Iraq Presents A Genuine Threat, Especially In The Form Of Weapons Of Mass Destruction, Chemical, Biological, And Potentially Nuclear Weapons. I Agree That Saddam Hussein Is Exceptionally Dangerous And Brutal, If Not Uniquely So, As The President Argues.” (Sen. Russell Feingold [D-WI], Congressional Record, 10/9/05, p. S10147)

I came across an interesting post on Poweline this afternoon. Here's a bit of what they found.

"I came into the inspection program as an interrogator and Arabic linguist, so I crossed over various fields and spotted various deception techniques that may not have been noticed in only one field, such as chemical or biological. For instance, the Iraqis would ask in very reasonable tones that questionable documents be set aside until the end of the day, when a discussion would determine what was truly of interest to UNSCOM. The chief inspector, not wanting to appear like a knuckle-dragging ogre, would agree. Instead of setting the documents on a table in a stack, the Iraqis would set them side to side, filling the entire table top, and would place the most explosive documents on the edge of the table. At some point they would flood the room with people, and in the confusion abscond with the revealing documents."

The quote is an excerpt from an interview that can be found here. It just never ceases to amaze me how libs can find so many "lies" but they seem to not ever find any of the truths that lay in Iraq's past

You Know What?

I'm tired of the people who post these long drawn out, "Bush is a liar" comments. Therefore here, if you don't leave at least a name and LEGITIMATE e-mail address, your comments (This is everyone) are subject to deletion. I'm tired of people writing long drawn out comments with no way to contact them to defend the accusations they make.

Therfore I will say it once more, and in plain english. ANNONYMOUS COMMENTS ARE SUBJECT TO DELETION.

If you really stand up for what you believe in, then don't hide behind your words.

"Shocking" news from FL

An exhibitionist in Fort Myers Beach, FL got the shock of his life while running away from police officers. One of the officers tried to stop him with a taser, and missed the target sort of.

Well, if it hit in the right spot, he can think of it as free birth control for the next week or so.

Hot Wing Conspiracy Week 11 Recap

I added a mighty 8 points with the Pack's 20-17 loss to the Vikes since Favre got 227 yards, 2 scores, but with 2 picks and 2 sacks. Sorry Gunfighters, but Favre just didn't have a Trent Green type week. That boosted me up to a 115-50 victory over him, which I believe is the highest scoring HWC game so far. It is certainly the highest in this season so far. the 2nd highest was a 103, and a 100 even. Poor Gunfighters has been a part of all 3, but only once had one. Your week will come, again...eventually. Also I was first to clinch a playoff spot. But let's hope I'm not like the Cardinals or Yankees and blow it

I DON'T BELIEVE IT!!! You know how I said that the only way Muse could beat Fonz was to score 100 yards and 2 touchdowns...well, he got 84 and 2 scores, enough to give Bentley his second tie of the season. The game ended in a 70-70 tie. Talk about a last ditch effort.

Oh, and Blue Balls now officially has a "winning streak."

All the other games were set in stone yesterday, so let's check out the standings shall we?

As you can see that's me back on top. And I have taken over the spot of 2nd highest scoring by 3 points. I'm not going to brag too much because I've still got 2 games against Bentley, as well as a recently revamped Blue Balls.

Uppers - I moved up one, Bentley up two, Giants up one, and Shortbus up one.

Fallers. Here comes the hurt. Gunfighters dropped 2, RFTR down 2, and webcats fell one spot.

And now for the Infamous, and quite useless YAHOO! Vegas Lies...urr Lines.

Bentley - 8 - Rednecks
Muse - 4 - Blue Balls
bRight - 15 - RFTR
Gunfighters - 3 - Giants
Shortbus - 6 - webcats

I Wish I Could...

The cardinals are having a farewell auction on Lelands.com and if I could I would spend every last dime I have to get this. Ozzie is and always will be my hero. He's the sole reason I played baseball. He is why when I was little my dream was to play for the Cardinals, even if it was just to be the batting practice pitcher and do nothing but give Jim Edmonds and other stars easy home-runs. All I wanted was to just be a part of the team. Well, at least the team will still be there.

IT'S EVIL GLENN'S FAULT!

A Filthy Lie Assignment

Evil Glenn has done it again. This time he's caused all kinds of chaos. His waiting to buy a hybrid caused me to have to fork out over $3 a gallon at the pump, he reseeded his lawn (In TN) which gave me all of 0.02 inches of rain in middle Tennessee during October, and I can't remember a SINGLE DAY here in Pulaski where we even got so much as a drop.

And another thing, what DID Glenn say when a green puppy was born? "My mom always told me to eat more greens."

Ahhh, The Crown Is Back (Week 11 Monday Review)

That's right folks, unless Brett Favre gets sacked on every first through third down, or fumbles the ball on every possession, I again will be in first place in the HWC league. And I must say, it has been an uphill battle ever since week 5 when I initially lost the top spot. I was amazed to see that not only did I have a 57 point lead over The Gunfighters, but also that RFTR had lost AGAIN, this time to Shortbus.

Wow, talk about a downfall. And I thought Tennessee losing to Vanderbilt was bad. At least they were on the 5 yard line and had a prayer to win when the time ran out. RFTR lost by a whopping 28 points, and 3 of his 4 losses have been at about 30 points. This is his 4th loss in a row this which leaves me as the only team with an 8-3 record.

Well, I have broken it...Finally, a 100 point game for myself. I've had two 90+ point games, and many times when a simple change of players would have given me 100 points, but this time it came true. And it wasn't riding on the back of 1 man, or even 2 for that matter. I had 3 players with over 20 points, and 2 more with 12. On top of that Brett Favre is yet to play tonight on MNF against the Vikings. With any luck, I could have a 130 point game, and set the record in HWC for the highest score for a single game. One bad note is that my Tight end Antonio Gates went out early Sunday, and may have hurt his ankle. This is disastrous coming into a game vs the number one scoring team in the league. but at least now I have a cushion to fall back on if I lose.

Wow, my brother faced off against bRight & Early and proved me wrong again. This time he is ahead 89-62. He has Gado left and bRight has Moore left for the Vikes. I need to start rooting against Blue Balls so that they'll win more. This one should only get a larger M.O.V.

And I knew this would be an air game. Giants vs webcats, a.k.a. Peyton Manning vs. Kurt Warner. Both QB's racked up 21 points, but look at this. I want to show you the one sidedness of this game. Now if anyone ever has ever had the privledge of facing me in Madden, or NCAA football knows I LOVE to throw the ball, so obviously This was my kind of game. St. Louis had 353 total yards of offence. 347 of those yards were passing. In the whole game there were 12 rushes for the Rams netting 6 yards. The play choice was 43-12 passing plays over rushing. Then there's Arizona and Kurt. 39 pass attempts to 26 rushes, netting 278 yards passing and 94 yards on the ground. A total of 625 yards and 6 touchdowns in the air, compared to a combined 100 yards and one score on the ground. THEN, there's Manning. 40 pass plays for 365 yards and 3 touchdowns. It's a shame that was all these two had. No players left for either team, and Giants won 60-54.

And last, Bentley has a 16 point lead over Muse with just Donald Driver left for Muse, so assuming Driver doesn't get over 100 yards and 2 scores, Bentley should end up 2nd behind me with a 7-3-1 record.

Week 11 Vegas Lines and standings on Tuesday, In Depth Predictions Wednesday.

Precision Guided Humor Assignment

How can these people justify calling George Bush a liar for saying the same things they said themselves?

That's a very interesting question...That's like saying, "Hey, have you seen the smart blonde? Yeah neither have I." WAIT A MINUTE!!! THAT'S IT! THEY'RE ALL ACTUALLY BLONDE!!!! They can justify it because in their mind they never said it. They're too dumb to remember! I can see it now, the Democratic Party is the largest wholesale buyer of hair dye in the nation. Every color except blonde. Of course there are a few who keep their blonde hair, such as Hillary, but that is to keep from raising suspicion. Heh, those blondes think they're so smart...

Parenting The Way It Should Be

How is it that America has gotten so afraid of punishing their kids when they do something wrong? What happened to the days where if you yelled at a teacher or your parents, they were allowed to turn you around and give you a clean pop on the behind? Now what do we have? The only safe thing you can do is put your kid in "Time Out." Ooooo, really scary stuff huh? What kind of message is that going to teach our kids? That if you break the law all you're going to get is a slap on the wrist and a "don't do that again?" I remember there was maybe one time when I did something wrong and my dad had to pop me on the rear for it and you know what? That set me strait. He didn't have to tell me again what was right and what was wrong.

Now we've got kids that yell at and hit their teachers, and parents who get the cops called on them for teaching their kid a lesson by making her prepare for the road ahead by holding up a sign that said "I don't do my homework and I act up in school, so my parents are preparing me for my future. Will work for food." And I wonder if you're even allowed to have a student go and sit in the corner with a dunce cap on if they misbehave. There was one time a kid got arrested at my high school because he called in a bomb threat to the school. The reason? He hadn't studied and didn't want to take a test. That landed him in jail with a suspension and a heck of a fine...Oh, and a big fat goose egg for the test. Bet he didn't think about that, otherwise he probably wouldn't have called it in.

As for the girl who held up the sign:
"In fact, Henderson has seen a turnaround in her daughter's behavior. But the punishment prompted letters and calls to talk radio from people either praising the woman or blasting her for publicly humiliating her daughter.
...Henderson said her daughter's attendance has been perfect and her behavior has been better since the incident.
Coretha, a soft-spoken girl, acknowledged the punishment was humiliating but said it got her attention. "I won't talk back," she said quietly."

Punishing your child works for discipline, it's just a shame that a small few who abused that method made it impossible for future generations to teach discipline to their kids.

Hot Wing Conspiracy Week 11 Preview

It's Wednesday morning and that means it's time for the Hot Wing Conspiracy League Preview for week 11.

Talk about some great matchups. I'm facing off with Gunfighters in I think the second contest to see who should be first. Now I have a habit of losing these types of games as my bout with RFTR showed in week 5. Both teams have some monster matchups, such as on my side, Tory Holt and the Rams facing against the team with their old QB Kurt Warner. You want to talk about an air game. Anyone with receivers and wide outs for the Cardinals and the Rams needs to start them this week. Brett Favre is facing against the Vikings, and even though he had a flawless game with 315 yards and 2 scores, they still lost by 3. But I think with Gado helping, the Pack will come out on top, and give Favre some big points. Also, Larry Johnson against the non-existent rush defense of the Texans...I'm licking my chops right now just trying to imagine how many times he's going to light up the scoreboard. And with Trent Green's wretched game last week, expect Johnson to see the ball all day long. Then there's Denver against the Jets, who were eaten up by Carolina and give up an average of 130+ rush yards per game and 23 points. That'll be dessert! Then there's Gunfighter's matchups. I hate to say it, but Tomlinson looks like he'll rack up a big game, and even though it shows Hasselback as having a decent game, I think that Shaun Alexander will get all those scores. The rest are decent, but not power-houses. Look for this game to be HUGE! I'm going with myself, 95-85.

bRight & Early vs. Blue Balls: Although Blue Balls is my favorite team right now (aside from my own team) for beating RFTR and vaulting me up to 2nd and battling for the crown, and they have a few good match-ups, I can't get over Mark Bulger getting back in the saddle for the Rams. The others look like the TEAMS are easy matchups, but they don't follow the game plan that's going to happen. Like a powerhouse team facing a weak team. The weak team will be passing more to move the ball, where the bigger team will just run them to death. And the players they do have with the right matchup are the lower ranked people in that slot. For this game I think Bulger will be the turning point to give this one to bRight. Sorry bro, you lose 60-55.

RFTR vs. Shortbus: HAHA! I could pray for Trent Green to have another AWESOME game, and give the win to Shortbus, but I'm a realist, and that's not going to happen. Trent Green won't throw the ball away as much this game because I think his throwing is going to be limited. I would suggest putting Carson Palmer in, but him versus the Colts is like walking through a mine field with clown shoes on. Even though Tom Brady is facing the mediocre at best Saints, RFTR's boys will pick up the win because well, Shortbus doesn't really have anyone other than Tom Brady. RFTR by a big margin, 65-30.

Bentley vs. Muse: Muse who had a 2 week drought in weeks 8 and 9, came back last week to scare Gunfighters and almost completely rearranged the standings. And OH-BOY! bentley's the owner of Shaun Alexander. This cat is going to rocket Bentley over 100 points this week since they are facing the 49ers who just plain old are HORRIBLE! They only completed 1 PASS last week vesus the Bears. If it hadn't have been for the running game they would have gotten under 100 total yards. the Bears ran up on them for 172 yards and the only offensive touchdown. One thing though, 49ers redzone defense is great, but I think Alexander will prevail...over, and over again. Muse, I have 3 words for you...Duck...and cover. Bentley whoops up on this one, 105-55. (Oh and Bentley..it'd be wise to but in Drew Bledsoe since Donovan may be out)

And last but not least, webcats and Giants: Well, look at that...Giants has Peyton Manning starting over Eli...I wonder why? Oh, wow, Kurt Warner Vs. Peyton Manning, honestly, with the Cardinals facing the point generous Rams, who also just so happen to be his former team, I know Kurt is going to want to stick it to them as often as he can. The air war is on this week for these two teams. And I'm just looking at Giants reserves, and talk about depleted. Deuce McAllister and T.O. Ouch. Hope that no one on his team goes out otherwise he'll be getting the shaft. I think that Manning and Tiki will be the deciding factor in this match-up that will give the win to the Giants. Giants get the W 65-60.

Excellent...

Everything is going well in the HWC League as far as I'm concerned, RFTR lost to Blue Balls, Giants lost to Shortbus, and Gunfighters squeeked out over The Muse, but hey, he deserves to be where he is.

Well, here's how it all went down. Gunfighters pulled out the win versus Muse. After being down by 6, all he needed was 20 yards and a score with no fumbles from one of his two remailing players. Well, he got it. With 7 points coming from one and 2 from another that sealed a 3 point victory over The Muse, and bumps Gunfighters up to the top spot in the league.

Webcats couldn't catch me. As if that's a surprise. I did however miss out on a 100 point game by playing Keyshawn Johnson instead of Chris Chambers, but oh well, a win is a win. The two losses for Giants and RFTR puts me 2nd in line, 52 points behind Gunfighters...who I'm playing for the second time this season. This game is going to be tough since we both have amazing teams who are out to score big. The last meeting we had was in week 2 where I took the win, 71-55. I'm not expecting nearly that margin of victory, if I win at all...

So let's look at how the standings are this week.

Ouch. First, the fallers...

RFTR dropped to third,Giants fell to 5th, and webcats dropped to 8th

And now for the risers:

Gunfighters jumps up to the lead, I vault from 4th to 2nd, Bentley jumps to 4th, and Blue Balls gets up to 7th.

And just for fun, here's a look at how the playoffs would stand if it were at this moment.

Gunfighters and I would have Bye's the first week, Bentley would face Giants in the top bracket with Gunfighters, and RFTR would face Muse in the lower bracket with me.

And since Vegas was on crack last week, I'll actually post them up this week. (But look for updates later this week)

Gunfighters (7-3) - 4 - Rednecks (7-3)

bRight& Early (1-9) - 2 - Blue Balls (4-6)

Shortbus All-Stars (3-7) - 10 - RFTR (7-3)

Bentley (6-3-1) - 11 - Muse (5-5)

webcats (3-6-1) - 1 - T(v)RWC Giants (6-4)

As usual my in depth analysis will be up some time Wednesday.

Alliance Filthy Lie Assignment

What has Evil Glen been doing this weekend?

Well, I've unfortunately found out, Evil Glenn was caught up in his Class Action suit...well, suits for that matter. In between suing alcohol companies, GEBIV, IMAO, and even The Savior himself, Jesus! If you've got your hands tied up in that, trying to blend your puppies for a power shake, murdering more hobos than you can shake a fist at, and worshiping the Devil...who has time to blog? Even though apparently Evil Glenn has this all automated with a touch button screen, he didn't have time to Alt-Tab out of it to post on his blog.

So what was Evil Glenn doing? He was doing all kinds of filthy things. GO GET HIM CHURCH LADY!

Woohoo!

I got top honors at the GOP and the City Weekend Caption Contest.

"Please not another sand trap. Please not another sand trap."

GO CRAZY FOLKS, GO CRAZY!

The pigs have flown again! Let's take a look at the Monday morning recap of the Hot Wing Conspiracy League.

First off, webcats was feeling rather cocky and left me a comment on my week 9 Monday recap, but I quickly depleted his hopes as Plummer and the rest of the Broncos on my team put a whooping on Oakland. Every one of my Denver boys got endzone...EVEN THE DEFENSE! However I'm still boiling over how many 100 point games I've missed out on this season. This time I benched Chambers against the Pats thinking that Ferrote wasn't going to be much of a play maker, but sure enough, he found Chambers open in the endzone for both of their scores. Either way, with Westbrook and Keyshawn Johnson left to play for me and only Greg Lewis left to play for Webcats, I'm up 78-51. I'm also pissed at the fact that Johnson had 130+ yards rushing and 60 some yards receiving, without a score...but there's more to come on that later.

Then, as expected, Bentley whooped up on bRight& Early. It's 68-44 right now with both teams having one player left. But for the Fonz it's Donovan McNabb who against Dallas can be a hit or miss. But either way, expect Bentley to still come out on top.

Now here's where we start to go crazy...

GUNFIGHTERS IS LOSING (for the moment) That's right, Muse, who had only scored 64 points in the last 2 games, is up 57-51 to Gunfighters. Now Muse is all run out, and it's a last second drive for Gunfighters with a Tight End and a receiver left to play, but if neither of them score, he'll be pretty well out of luck.

And now let's REALLY GO CRAZY!!!!

GIANTS!!! HAHAHAHA! Yes, I know it's dangerous to put the Colt's passing up against the non-existent run defense of the Texans, but apparently Giant's has to be having the worst week ever. That's the second time that he has had Peyton rack up the stats...on the bench and Eli sucked it up. With 297 yards, the touchdowns and only one sack, the Older Manning racked up 21 fantasy points, while Eli had only 291 yards and a score. Oh and did I mention his 4 interceptions and 2 sacks? With only one player over 10 points it's hard to win, even over the formerly last placed Shortbus All-Stars.

RFTR HAS LOST AGAIN!!
Riding on the back of Trent Green's abysmal game, he only scored 16 points! And Trent Green assisted that by putting up stats like 220 yards passing with 3 interceptions and 6 sacks, plus a fumble. If you think I'm pissed about leaving Chambers on the bench, RFTR left 24 points on the bench, and just has to sit there and stare at another loss. That's 3 in a row folks, and why was I so upset about Johnson's stats? Because Green was throwing the ball away everytime they got close! They only scored 3 points in the whole game! I'm not even sure if the Chiefs made it into the redzone this week. Kudos to my brother for putting RFTR down. RFTR will fall in line at least behind me...hehe right where he should be.

Now my wish came true, that the push-over season of RFTR shows that he doesn't have a really great team, just lucky when playing the tougher teams. And now he's lost to one of the lower ranked teams. Will this be a sign of things to come in other places? Will my dream of USC losing to some unranked team come true? I sure hope so...dang Trojans. And if Gunfighters can't pull through tonight...I'll have my crown back!

Precision Guided Humor Assignment

Is the Mainstream Media patriotic?

Of course they are!....to the insurgents. Just look at our old pal Saddam who was hired to fill in for Dan Rather when he fired himself resigned a while ago. The mainstream media loves our country, but they are not afraid to defame it when the slightest opportunity comes. Because that's what a true patriot does right? They show off their love for the country by dragging it through the dirt.

Blog-Cards

Well, Aaron's CC has decided to make a blogosphere deck of cards open to nominations from anyone who is a Higher Being, a Mortal Human, a Playful Primate, or a Large Mammal. I am nominating myself as a lowly 2 of well, anything, either diamonds or spades. I don't expect much. My brother wants to be one of the 2 jokers that will be in the deck, and considering I've known him for the past 21 years, I'd say he's a good nomination for it. I will certainly vote for him on that. Also he is elidgable for one of the face cards since he's in the top 500 of the Ecosystem.

So the votes are as follows:
Spades: Monday Nov. 14th
Diamonds: Tuesday Nov. 15th

So in those dates, at least visit Aaron's CC, and if you are kind...vote for me (c:

Alliance Filthy Lie Assignment

New Filthy Lie Assignment: Class Action Glenn

The Alliance has called us to B.S. report about how Evil Glenn Reynolds has brought up an astounding class action suit.

This suit is going strait to the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals where Glenn knows that whacked out lawsuits are sure to be given a good verdict. The lawsuit is suing companies that have served alcohol to people, who then went and did something stupid, and blamed it on alcohol. Forget how the person had the choice to not drink, it was the liquor/beer/wine company's fault for them being so foolish. I even caught Glenn taking notes, as well as beginning filming an infomercial after he read this comment to a post on Autoblog:

It continually amazes me in today's society the lack of responsibility for one's own actions. Anyone and everyone who manufactures anything will always be subject to these types of frivolous lawsuits. Just think, if you were drunk and tripped off a curb and ended up in the hospital, you can sue a number of people.
1. the jeans manufacturer, for making tight fitting jeans.
2. the city, for making the curb too high.
3. the shoe/shoelace manufacturer, for making too long of a shoelace that caused you to trip in the first place.
WHEN WILL IT EVER END....

How Is This Right?

It's illegal to show middle school students porn, but at the same time, it's legal to teach middle schoolers about sex in vivid detail, it's ILLEGAL for a parent to find out if their child left school during class to have an abortion, and now Schools can survey FIRST GRADERS about sex.

Where have parent's rights gone? Seriously the uber-left have taken over in the California courts and seek to destroy the parent/child relationship. So here's something else, I'm not allowed to do so much as take a tylenol without a signed not by my parents, but I can sign out, go to an abortion clinic and end a pregnancy...without them knowing. How messed up is that? What's next? If I get caught shooting up heroine in the bathroom, mom and dad won't know?

In upholding a lower court ruling against the parents, Circuit Judge Stephen Reinhardt said "no such specific right can be found in the deep roots of the nation's history and tradition or implied in the concept of ordered liberty."

The appeals court noted that other courts have upheld mandatory health classes, a school system's condom distribution program and compulsory sex ed.

Bloomy Wins

It wasn't a 38% slide as the polls predicted, but Bloomberg won NYC Mayor by 20 %. I think there was tampering at the poling sites because there is NO WAY that polls like that could be wrong AT ALL. Haha, just kidding. Go Bloomberg and continue to kick some booty.

Question I heard in my brother's interview, "Why is it that New Yorkers elect uber-liberal people to the senate, but elect a republican to run the city?" And yes...I did hear the dog.

GOP and College's Wednesday Morning Picks

Well, I've made a nice pick-up. I dropped Engram since it's obvious that Shaun Alexander is going to carry the Seahawks, as opposed to Matt Hasselback. So I picked up a good back-up tight end, Bubba Franks to fill in my empty spot. So let's see, how do I think this game is going to go? Well, Denver is in Oakland, which gives me 3 very good matchups, as well as the Rams big passing guns are up against Seatle's moderate pass defense, and Dallas is in Philly. That bodes VERY well for me, and with the matchups that webcats has, there are good one, but they are fewer than the bad ones. Funny note though is that Tatum Bell is on webcats, and I have Mike Anderson...Hopefully Anderson will get more into the endzone. I'm going to bounce back from my tough loss last week and win 70-55.

I can't help but laugh at this next one, Blue Balls (3-6) vs RFTR (7-2). Now I would say that this is an easy prediction, but you have to realize that 2 of Blue Balls wins were against Muse (when he was good) and Bentley. It shows that Blue Balls has a lead over RFTR, but I'm going to have to vote no on that. This will be all Righty, 65-45.

bRight & Early...you better still be in that tent because the storm's not over yet. Bentley 80-45.

Uh-oh, hmm, Gunfighters and Muse, after the last 2 outings for Muse, I would say that it was going to be gunfighters all the way, but with James against the Texans that makes for a serious pounding of the ground game. Unless Houston stuffs James and tehy are forced into the air, I think Muse might take this one, 75-70.

And last but not least, Shortbus versus Giants, which the names say it all. Shortbus has 3 empty slots, but seeing the players he has as back-ups, he might as well keep them as empty. Did you ever know anyone who fell for the "If your hand is bigger than your face then you'll get cancer" bit? That'll be All-stars, getting smacked around. Giants to win the slaughtering of the week 70-25.

Tumble, Tumble, Tumble

Well, I posted before but for some reason Blogger decided not to post it. So here's the final scores and shake-up in the HWC League.

I dropped to 4th, Muse fell to 6th, and Blue Balls fell to 8th. All the rest except RFTR moved up one.

Well, RFTR lost again, the final score ended up 77-44 with Bentley coming out on top. Here's some funny trivia though, RFTR lost to Gunfighters, then to Bentley, who lost to Blue Balls, who lost to Shortbus...all of which I beat (minus RFTR) and they're in first...sounds like the BCS huh?

Muse couldn't overcome the 40 point deficit to webcats and ended up losing 55-29, but that was expected.

And Blue Balls couldn't quite overcome Shortbus and lost 56-42. Wow, my brother sucks at coaching.

Vegas lines are TOTALLY whacked out, so I'm not even going to try to put them up until at LEAST tomorrow. That and I'm perturbed at the fact I'm having to post this a second time.

*UPDATE* Vegas lines are still about the same as of Wednesday at 9 AM CST.

Hot Wing Conspiracy - Week 9

Wow, this week sucked. I lost my 3rd game of the season and will in turn drop from a probable 1st (once again) about 15 points over RFTR (7-1, about to be 7-2), but instead I will plummet back to 4th place (6-3, 566 pts) with next to no hopes of getting back up to 2nd where I long to be. My star tight end, Antonio Gates got 132 passing yards, without a touchdown. The greedy bastard LaDainian Tomlinson took every one of the Chargers 4 touchdowns. 3 were rushing, and one was a 25 yard pass (of his 46 total) on the right hand side. Any one of my players getting another score would have put me over the Giants and given me the title of Giant Killer like I claimed, but no, it was not to be.

And what is it about my brother (3-5) and losing to the last placed team? It looks like he will be at it again this week, losing to the abysmal Shortbus All-Stars (1-7, 313 points...aka last in EVERYTHING). At this morning's score update he was down 24-32 with only Marvin Harrison left to play. Shortbus on the other hand still has Adam Venetieri and Tom Brady to play. With the score already 21-7 Colts at the half, Brady will likely be going into the air a LOT. Sorry bro, but even after an amazing beating of Bentley last week, your team sucks.

Well, RFTR sucked it up as well as most everyone else in the league. As of the Monday update he was getting smashed 69-27, and even though he has Corey Dillon, Vanderjagt, and Indy's D, they've all been very unproductive so far. Dillon's only got 21 yards and a cough up, Indy's held them to 7 but only have a sack and a fumble, and Vandy's only got 3 PATs. Bentley's got Branch playing and he's got 31 yards and the Pat's only score. Looks like even though it will be his second loss, (with nothing but a push-over coming up for the rest of his season) RFTR will walk his way to 1st place in the league as we go into the playoffs in week 14.

Wow, everyone sucks this week. Even Muse (5-3), who beat me to keep me out of 1st place...Punk. Webcats look like they will walk away with their 3rd win of the HWC season. At the Monday update it's 55-15 with Muse having only James and Givens left to play. James has over 60 yards and a score, but Givens only has 40 and nothing else. 40 points looks like it will be too much for Muse to overcome and will fall back to 6th behind Bentley.

So where did all the points go? I mean there were 5 teams with under 45 points, and all but 2 were under 60. That's unheard of! So who stole all the league's points? Gunfighters (6-3) of course. The 2nd highest scoring team in the league showed us again why he's in that spot with an impressive 101-41 victory over bRight & Early (1-8) How did he get that? By riding on the back of the bastard that stole my boy's scores! That's right, Gunfighters has Tomlinson on his starting roster, and if he hadn't started, I'd have been FURIOUS! Gunfighters played his cards right and took it to the house. Unfortunately for me though, this puts Gunfighters in 2nd place with me behind by 81 points.

Adios Amigo

I've been a Cardinal's fan ever since my eyes first watched a baseball game sometime in 1984 or 1985. And since then, the only baseball stadium I could ever call was the round one known as Busch. Right there off of the Interstate as you travel through downtown St. Louis. It was always fun to pass by it, and peer in through the holes at the top of the structure to see if there was a gaem going on. But now, all that is going to change. Here in less than 15 minutes, the old stadium will begin to be demolished, as a wrecking ball will begin to tear into the structure. It's a sad day indeed. And although I can't complain about the better air flow and open environment of the new stadium, or even the fact that Anhieser-Busch has sponsored the new stadium to keep it as New Busch Stadium, it will never be the same. There was just something about coming out of those entrances into the stands that when you looked across and saw all the seats, a sense of awe struck you silent.

Even though I was just a little runt, I can still remember when I got a picture taken with Todd Zeille and my sister was so jealous because she thought he was hot stuff. Or any one of the times I actually got to se my hero, Ozzie "The Wizard" Smith make the most miraculous plays at Shortstop, and "Cousin Ray" playing in left field (my relatives there share the Lankford last name so we called him that as a joke). Or the time when I went to see Big Mac play for the Cards and hit his first St. Louis Cardinal home run off the left field foul pole.

Times like these are to men as a great soap is to women. Even though it's not really a close (human) friend, when it dies, you can't help but have a sense of loss.

Cats Being Cats

After the Vikings were accused of well, being Vikings on a cruise ship, The Panthers have one upped them and proven that they are big cats, by getting into a cat fight. Two Carolina Cheerleaders were arrested last night at a Tampa Bay's Night Club, Banana Joe's. Angela Keathley and Renee Thomas were arrested by the cops at about 2:20 AM Sunday morning after a fight that started over taking too long in the stall. The cops claimed words started "because there was some hanky-panky going on," and someone got upset. Mind you this was 2 women in there. I'll keep my mind out of the gutter, but...well, yeah.

One is charged with battery and may face lying to police for giving them a false ID, and the other with Disorderly Conduct and resisting arrest.

HAHA! And the Irony, Renee is the Topcats Spotlight this week. I would give links to the profiles of the offenders, but the site is not working.

Coverage on:
ESPN
Sports Illustrated
The Tampa Tribune

*UPDATES*
- Renee and Angela are no longer on the roster page for the TopCats. I guess they're nothing but strays now.
- Now Renee says there was no hanky-panky

Sorry For The Delay

I was busy all day at work so I didn't have time to analyze the week's matchups like I'd hoped to. But here we go!

Beating of the week:
Obviously, Shortbus has another one coming. Blue Balls are stacked. Chicago D in New Orleans, Pittsburgh in Green Bay, and theChargers facing the Jets. Shortbus on the other hand is S.O.L. Tom Brady vs. the Colts, D. Mase against the Bengals, Antowain Smith vs. Thaaa Bearsss. This is gonna be a nasty one. Blue balls with an easy 75-25 win

Loss # 2?
Could RFTR be put out again? Although RFTR has some good matchups, Indy's D vs the Pats, Carson Palmer in Baltimore and Jones in the Bayou, I just can't get over Shaun Alexander and the Seahawks being in Arizona, and Shockey in San Fran. Those two are laible to have MONSTER games. Not to Mention Jordon out in KC with a predicted 125 yards and a score. I'm going with Bentley on this one, 80-75 (and hopefully RFTR giving me back my crown)

The Other Whooping:
Gunfighters and bRight & Early...If I were bRight, I'd be cowering in the corner like Hayley Joal Osment in his little tent. Priest Holmes and Domanick Davis may score big ,but Kerry Collins, Tomlinson, and Burress will score bigger. Gunfighters will win it 70-40.

Put that comeback on the back burner:
Webcats may have won one last week with almost 80 points, but that won't happen this week There are too few good matchups (Roethlisburger and Carolina's D) and too many non-performers *cough* Cadillac *cough*. Even without a defense I think Muse will still be lifted over webcats with Edgarrin and Brunell. Muse to win, 55-50.

Scary thought:
I'm worried about this game. With Gunfighters and Muse getting pretty easy games this week, and me facing the 4th place Giants, if I lose, I may pull a Muse and drop all the way back to 5th HAHAHA, Muse gaining 40 points on me that's great. I'll still be on the outside looking in, and RFTR will likely walk his way to 1st place at the end of the season. Right now I'm a 19 point underdog and that's not good. I had to struggle to fill in my empty wide out slot. I dropped Courtney Anderson because he was about as productive as a....nevermind. BUT WAIT A MINUTE! T.O. out with an ankle sprain? Oh how lovely is that? All in all, the Giants have some over-ratings, but they also have a few under-ratings. I'm going to bite my tongue and play for at least a tie at 70.

What a Shake Up

Talk about some movements in the Hot Wing Conspiracy League. Let's take a look shall we?

First off the big one, THE GIANT HAS FALLEN!
RFTR, as well as about everyone else called it, but it ALMOST didn't come true. I about jinxed it with this line in my post yesterday. "Down by 26 with just Pittsburgh's D, and Miller left to play. It can be overcome, but it's not likely." Well, 5 more points and it would have. Darn miller scored both of the pass touchdowns last night, in a HUGE total of 18 total yards...That's not a misprint. He averaged 6 yards per catch in 3 catches, but 2 of them were in the endzone. What a crock. And the defense was equally as weird. They let up 19 points, got 2 sacks, 2 picks, and a fumble. But all that only added up to 21 points instead of the required 26. I went to bed last night at the beginning of the 4th quarter thinking Gunfighters was gonna get screwed, but thatkfully not. Gunfighters held on to win, 74-69.

Biggest Whooping:
Muse (the FORMERLY 2nd place team) got their faces wiped through a pile of dog turds this week as the Giants came through like a Sox team in the World Series. Muse only scored 35 points and lost by 50. Who was the maker of the big game? The KICKER! He got 3 kicks in the red zone, 1 in the 40's, one over 50 yrds, and 3 PAT's...for a total of 21 points! In the real game he scored half of the team's 36 points! And the defense, with a shut-out, 5 sacks, 1 pick and 3 fumbles. No wonder Brunell did so bad, he was always in the dirt! Giants Whooped up 85-35

Surprise Beating:
I already posted about this shocker. The scores only changed by 3 for the Blue Balls as parker got those points. Blue Balls rocked Bentley 81-49.

webcats Win:
That's a headline in itself. Not only did they win, but they posted a season making game at 79 points. This one was over before last night, but who cares? It's always fun to run up the score. Ouch but with Culpepper out with all 3 knee ligiments torn? That's rough. I mean I've heard that just popping the ACL hurts bad enough, but all 3? That must be like trying to walk with a leg of Jell-o. Well, not that it'll matter much, Donte is...sorry, WAS still yet to get out of the negative for the season. 1564 yards, 6 TD's...but 12 picks and 31 sacks with 3 cough ups...he was at -17 points for the season. Ouch....times 2.

And Of Course...
I won over Shortbus 78-31, another whooping, but this one was kind of expected with their lack of performance.

And now a look at the standings:
With the massive loss to the Giants Muse tumbled from 2nd all the way to 5th. Even with the loss, RFTR is still on top due to the fact I lost to Muse. If I had won, I would be up on top by at least 4 points. Bentley dropped from 4th to 6th with the loss to Blue Balls (has the highest points total by 40 points and still has 3 losses and a tie to webcats...kinda looks like the Ram's Season)

Gunfighters took advantage of the win over RFTR and have slipped into 3rd 1 game behind, and 34 points ahead of me. Giants jumped up to 4th 17 points up to me (and are my favored opponent for this week) and the bottom 4 of the standings remain the same.

And now for the famous, but useless Yahoo! Vegas Lines.
*Updated Tuesday night at 10:30 PM*
Giants - 19 - Rednecks
Shortbus - 7 - Blue Balls
Bentley - 7 - RFTR (Bentley has 2 bye slots to fill)
Gunfighters - 10 - bRight & Early (Gunfighters has a bye to fill)
webcats - 1 - The Muse (Muse has a bye slot to fill)

Stay tuned tomorrow as I post up my insider report on the matchups of this week.
